Denmark's intelligence service has arrested four people suspected of planning an "imminent" terror attack against a newspaper that printed the controversial Prophet Muhammad cartoons.

The Danish Security and Intelligence Service, known as Pet, said three of the four men were residents of Sweden and had entered the country last night.

Jakob Scharf, the head of Pet, said "an imminent terror attack has been foiled". He described some the suspects as "militant Islamists".

Pet said the group had planned to enter the building where the Jyllands-Posten daily has its Copenhagen news hub and had wanted "to kill as many of the people present as possible".

Scharf said the arrests were made after close co-operation with Swedish police.

The three suspects living in Sweden have been identified as a 44-year-old Tunisian citizen, a 29-year-old Lebanon-born man and a 30-year-old Swedish resident whose origin is unknown. One of the suspects is a 26-year-old Iraqi asylum seeker living in Copenhagen.

The men face preliminary charges of attempting to carry out an act of terrorism. They will attend a custody hearing tomorrow.

Nothing but this is a part of anti immigrant campaign which is going on in whole europe and they need reason to deport immigrants and nothing more than that.
