Communal hindus should avoid celebrating their festivals since a secular feels it's unjust.AHMEDABAD: Just four days before Navratri, great unease has begun developing around the festive mood. Sufi Imam Mehndi Hussain — famous for having his offer of a skullcap rebuffed by Narendra Modi in 2011 — has said that the garba has been taken over by demons. Hussain, a cleric in a Kheda village, said: "Garba is not a religious festival but entertainment for rakshasas."

u demon?
what was the context sir?
Film actors and people with criminal backgrounds dance in provocative clothes.
He said that the event is losing its religious nature and
Ranchhod Bharwad, the general secretary of VHP Gujarat
If you look at the context in which he made the statement, there is simply nothing offensive about it
He said that the event is losing its religious nature and
so is every thing. But no Stretch of imagination makes it demonic in nature. Also try figuring the significance of Demons in Islamic terms.
... who is he to comment on the religious nature of a Hindu festival ? .... is he a hindu ? is he an expert on Hindu religion ? or an expert on hindu festivals ?
how about Haj has become a festival of Rakshasa since Dawood ibrahim and hafeez saeed goes on Haj ....... what if Modi had said that ? ..... your dirty @ss would have been of fire for 3 days.
What if VHP had made that comment that ID is a festival of demons ? ........ Sick MoFu like you needs to be made to eat $hit in prison.
Eid is a festival of Demons and Rakshasa since terrorists celebrate eid. Since only Asura's eat beef, Eid is a festival of Asuras. I hope you will defend me too the same way you defended the "secular" b@stards.
He said that the event is losing its religious nature and
I don't respond to personal attacks. When you are mature enough to communicate with me, please do so. Until then grow up and stop embarrassing yourself with your bad grammar and spelling
Sir,
Who compelled them to attend that festival?
That festival is just a tradition of another community.
If they dont want it why should they make comments like this.
Perhaps you maybe right and Imam made that comment on a positive sense. But that cleric should know religion overcome the wisdom of majority of people in India.
They dont take effort to think that deep rooted way.
Religious people of one community must not criticise other religion or their practice.Be it Hindu or Muslim or Christian.
I never want to communicate anything with a dog like you.
LOL at the people who thought you were a Hindu and not a Muslim.
LOL at anybody who may believe that you represent the Hindu voice and the tolerant nature of Hinduism. Now get lost and whilst you are at it, get an education which includes a Hindu education
See, that is the point most Indian Hindus here miss. Where did the Imam criticize the Hindu religion or the Navarathi Garba festival itself ? He purely pointed out that it is being used for selfish ("demon") purposes. He maybe a Muslim of India but that doesn't stop the Imam from being a religious authority. If he voiced his concerns about a religious event being hijacked for sinister purposes then that is his right in secular India.

What happens in Barelvi sufi jalsas and jaloos? Why doesn't he speak about money-making businesses like Chadar donating in Darghahs and other entertaining superstitions?See, that is the point most Indian Hindus here miss. Not really.
But again some less informed Hindus think Sufis/Barelvis as moderate when the case is opposite.
