Defence Expansion Plan Gets Mamata’s Red Flag

for the red part sir,it was always the case, even during Communist Rule.in Bengal, always split vote decides the winner.thats why, here, political parties has to take care so many factors.I don't know from where do you belong, but pretty much everybody knows the truth.second,in Bongaon,BJP was third, not second.it was CPIM candidate and our HOD Debesh Das(sir)(I belongs to Jadavpur University, where Debesh Sir is our HOD).

Matua Community was always an factor in Bangaon as it consists 50% of total vote.but it was no the major factor as possibly the vote was shared quite evenly.but the major factors were calling Cow Trade "Anti Socialist activity"(which was a common trade in that region and was not a banned activity.cross border smuggling is) and not giving old veteran BJP worker K D Biswas ticket.rather,BJP trusted on a newbie.plus,BJP's ploy to make a division in Thakur Bari was also made wrong impression. One Communist leader correctly said,BJP is trying to make a party from grabbing few supporters from here and there.this kind of game doesn't last in Bengal.presently,BJP is getting a lot of swing votes, but, these are not solid supports..whatever...

now about the news report....Dafuq...State Govt coined a Land Acquisition Policy for a valid reason.Land acquisition is a burning issue in bengal.people don't even want to give land for roads and rails now.it didn't start recently.it has a long history of encroaching govt lands.plus, another point to be taken was West Bengal has acute shortage of lands.even then,Army had massive amount of land in West Bengal.but due to their neglectance, encroachers encroached so many lands(same with Rail).recently,Army is asking few hundred acres of land in Dumdum.if someone visits Dumdum, they'd know that there is very little space left in this area as it is densely populated.to give land in this densely populated region, you'd have to remove thousands of permanent settlers.plus, army never going to pay proper price of land(as cost of these lands are skyhigh).there is bound to be some problem.in Kalingpong too,Govt didn't provide NOC due to some reason, and West Bengal wasn't only state which did it.several states didn't provide NOC to various projects due to environmental concern(If something wrong happens, envirionmentalists will fry both Govt's and Army's @rs3).plus,when Army first discussed this matter to the state, the agreed that they'll follow State's Land Acquisition Procedures.so,why they're whining now,for taking some time??I'm not anti indian or pro-TMC.but one has to understand,we're talking about most densely populated region in India, where Land issues toppled previous government and even present government are struggling to procure lands for development.don't make moronic comments like Mamta is Anti Indian or so,as you're not talking about this about a random woman, you're accusing entire West Bengal Government for playing Anti Indian role.
Why the hell did u quote me??? I spoke out against those members on the forum who were generalizing the whole of Bengal and making sweeping statements!!!Perhaps u did not read my earlier post on this very thread. . .

Some Fact Checks Please? :P

of course they are..they're taking a lot of wrong decisions..but this land issue is not one of them,in my view.yes,Army should get NOC by now.but if they're not getting it,then it is for some other reason and not to score any political gain or whatsoever..the way some member behaving here,it looks like West Bengal doesn't exist inside Indian map and West Bengal Government is equal to CCP,which is wrong.these morons should learn that holding the post of CM doesn't mean she is responsible for every delay, especially in this case where Army agreed on Land Acquisition Law,what means there is going to be a lot of trouble, like delay and hold up as now,Army will have to buy lands from the land holders directly.separately, state is going to review its implications etc, which is going to take quite some time.

Sorry mate but i think you should read the article again. I ran a check on the authenticity of the article and found this

Mamata plays politics over Land Acquisition Law changes

And this news is not new but this land deal has been in hurdle since 2013.

Army's biggest airbase will get land soon, says Mamata

If this is not failed governance then i don't know what it is.!

Old City near the Airport?? There are no old cities near the Airport. The Southern part of Kolkata is actually the oldest part where I live. The Airport actually is towards the North in the outskirts of Kolkata way past Sector V.No wonder u had a horrible time, nothing happening ever happens in that part. Infact if u go a bit further there's the Barasat area infamous for the Goons of TMC and gang wars break out frequently.

With so many poor and hungry in India India does not need to spend more on defense than it already is, Mamata is a visionary; a true statesman.

you did study the links posted, right???it didn't show anywhere that West Bengal Govt opposed the Land Acquisition.and this link???

Mamata plays politics over Land Acquisition Law changes

really??the author has no Idea what he was talking about..He/She better come here before make comments.Land Issue is one of the major problems in West Bengal due to excessive population density.if you try to compare West Bengal with other states, its not quite fair.

plus, you know about the hurdles that stopped Army from making its base??Its because State Govt doesn't want to acquire the lands and new Land Acquisition Bill states that most of the land will have to be purchased by the interested party itself(here Army) from the market.State Govt doesn't want to purchase the lands and draw more problems for them, its the main reason.please share it with us,as I didn't observe any opposition of West Bengal, even mild, against Army's any kind of plan.in fact,I remember similar moronic reports surfaced after some problem regarding getting adequate lands for NSG hub.but as usual, the problem got sorted out and WB govt provided lands.you know, coining a proper Land Acquisition Law is not a sign of failed governance.BJP fielded their own version of this same bill, and they observed opposition among their allies.in WB,the situation is more acute.our state has observed bloody oppositions in last 7-8 years on the same issue.but as usual, people who doesn't have any knowledge about ground realities will make useless comments.I guarantee you,it is not even going to be properly reported properly when Army will get its land..

Bengali folks, please do something about this megalomaniac. She is becoming a threat to the entire eastern India.

Don't judge an entire race based on the behavior of a few people.Bengal have sacrificed the most during our freedom struggle. It was the Bengali people who lead the freedom movement from the front.Heck,Bengal has produced countless number of patriots who had sacrificed everything for the sake of our Motherland.Heck, even today there are a lot of patriotic Bengalis who are ready to make the supreme sacrifice for India at anytime.Do remember the fact that the predecessor of the present BJP was actually founded by a Bengali named Dr.Shyamaprasad Mukherjee.
I am not judging them bhai. The problem is that state has the largest border here and that crazed tyrant ruling WB has put entire NE in danger. Her miya loving policies have put even Bihar in trouble as it is becoming a stopover hub for illegal Banglas running all across the country..

And when others point this out, Bengalis just sleep over it.& ignore us.WTH do you want us all to do then?

Look at what's happening in Assam too. Gogoi is another scumbag. You want that to happen in rest of our states here too? Even nagas and arunachalis are now concerned about these illegals thanks to these cursed duo Momta and Gogoi.

It isn't easy bordering China you know... If miyas also come here in boatloads, it will be facing devil versus the ocean.
