sure, why not. Mobile phone is essential now a days to be in touch with each other. Its nice if you can be in touch with your kids and they can ask for help if they need. It should have GPS tracker built in, that will help tracking them down if they go missing.
kids of new generation can easily navigate technology, for them its like book or pen or any other normal object. I think every child deserves a computer as well, earlier the better.
