I am planning on starting Debate threads that deals with Social , Political and Economic Phenomena .
Hope more and more people attend to it .

Now to the Debate .

Our world is moving fast . We find ourselves staring and standing at the doorsteps of the new age :
The " AGE OF TECHNOLOGY "

In coming years , when technology will play the most important part of our lives . How will our society look ?
The most important of which will be access to Internet .
Future Humans might find it difficult to think of life without internet .
And the most used and affordable platform for which will be Mobile Phones .

Now , What will be its impact on the younger generations ?

Debate Rules :

Three sets of Views

01 Those in favor
02 Those against
03 Neutral

You can Challenge other people point of view with counter opinions .

Having access to internet through WiFi is ok.

Use of cell phones is allegedly dangerous & harmful for grown ups themselves. Surely it's a no no for kids.

What age do u consider suitable to give your child a Smartphone ?
Not giving them access to internet or Smart phone , Is it violation of Equality among other rights ?

.
Nah !

KIDS shoouldn't be allowed to have cellphon esecially with the internet option.

Otherwise , we ll have to face many more stupid threads like these on PDF.

Its like bandar ke hath me tamancha. :sniper:

.
whats the point of giving smartphone phone to child? If you are talking about teenager then they should have basic mobile phone without internet if parent want to communicate with them when they are outside house

.
No mobile phones to kids till they complete school. Some kinds finish school by late 16 and early 17. I myself finished schooling at late 16 and got a basic 1100 Nokia from my friend. :D

Mobile phones kill the physical activity of a kid and affect brain's mental maturity. Even parents idiotically prefer their kids to sit at home and use computer instead of playing with other kids in the fear of getting injured.

Me on the other hand have got injured at every part on my body while playing. It helped me bear pain.

Well...the scary thing is lots of *8* year old kids have cell phones (never mind teens)!! They have experience with iPads at school since kindergarten (and home) so they know how things work.

I'm thinking about handing my daughter one (well one of my old iPhones). Will have to limit her internet access to WiFi. She'd hit any data limit easily.

Giving a Kid a Cell Phone: How Young Is Too Young?
"Now, an incredible 53 percent of all 6-year-olds already have their own mobile.
......
Thirty-one percent of the parents polled said that they wanted to make sure their child could get in touch with them at any time."

Six seems extreme. But I'm with the 31%.

Research have indicated that playing with "real toys" by holding them in hands boosts the cognitive learning and their ability to extrapolate certain "learned logic" e.g. a vigorous push to the car will make the car move faster etc etc. This I am afraid will not develop with too many electronics around where the interaction with object would remain virtual.

I am skeptical about parents willingness to make their kids electronically agile !

.
Cell phones for children only if its inevitable, what is the need if the child is easily accessible, and children should be provided with only basic sets without net connection, as it may even spoil their future and land in trouble, children should be allowed to access net under parental guidance better a desktop rather than mobile.
