Just give them 5-7 years (it's manslaughter & stupidity, not terrorism), make them sit 2-3 years in a jail in India ( but not in general pop), some financial compensation and call it a day, get back to making money with the EU.

Only way, I think the war is going to happen is Italians bombing Indian embassy in their country and we bombing Italian embassy here.. Otherwise, I dont see Italy have massive force or money to start a war against India or India have that kind of money and force to start a war far away from her shores.. Indian has no interest in giving them death penalty, all it wants is to ensure that no one takes such a activity lightly.

India has set a precedent here, that you cannot come in Indian waters and kill fishermen and escape. But you will have to spend rest of your life in prison.
