My real name is Tu Anh Tu. I was born on 06 / 07/1986
Only a few days ago, I was a student at Thai Nguyen College of Medicine (CDYT), but now I have been unreasonably expelled out of the school because of my spiritual support of the struggle for democracy for Vietnam and also because I am against Chinese expansionism and invasion of the Vietnam sea and islands. Vietnam national security agencies forced me to return to my hometown in Dai Phu, Phi Mo town, Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province. They placed me under surveillance of local town police for further “manage, monitor, education”.

Today, June 3rd, 2011, I want to write this letter to all the international media and human rights organizations to speak out about the oppression (of the government of Vietnam) and the abuses of my rights recently just because I regularly watched foreign news broadcasting services, read online newspapers and articles. A series of my human rights violations can be summarized as follow:

About 10AM on May 13th, 2011, I was watching online news at an internet shop located in front of my school, a group of about 20 people including police, secret service agents and security guards suddenly appeared and arrested me with excessive force. They claimed that reading the online foreign news websites would be a violation of the law of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. They also claimed that I was storing the documents against Vietnam government in my personal email Inbox, that I have seriously violated Article 88 of criminal law and against the Communist Party." When conducting a computer search at the internet shop where the police arrested me, they recouped four articles, which had tittles and contents as follows:
1. Writing about petitioners’ claims in Vinh City
2. Writing about the worker strike at a factory in Hanoi.
3. Writing about the student Nguyen Anh Tuan publicly stood up for Dr. Cu Huy Ha Vu.
4. Writing on the case of Dr. Cu Huy Ha Vu and “the hand-dipped indigo” situation.

Those were all the “illegal documents”. Then they seized my mobile phone and took me to police headquarters in Thai Nguyen city immediately for interrogation. Mr. Duong Van Tuan and Mr. Bui Van Chinh directly interrogated me. That night they temporarily let me go home but the next morning they continued the interrogation at the police headquarters again, a very stressful day. Simultaneously on May 20th, 2011, without informing me, they asked my family to write promise note on my behalf to stop all the (democracy support) activities. This created a lot of pressure for me because my mother was often ill and she had to travel for more than 80 km from her home to the police headquarters in Thai Nguyen during rainstorm.

On May 30th, 2011, the police and security services reported to my school and forced me to plead guilty to these charges. On June 2nd, 2011, I was brought before the Thai Nguyen College of Medicine school disciplinary board in which the school board expelled me out of the school permanently. Immediately I was forced to gather personal belongings and leave the dormitory of the medical college where I have attended for more than two years.

I declare that all the charges that Thai Nguyen Police Department and the Government of Vietnam have accused me had no valid foundation in the laws. On contrary, these tactics of the police were forms of name slandering, manipulating and suppression of freedom of expressions, a series of definite violations of human rights of Vietnamese citizens.

The allegations of the local police was extremely illogical. I urge the international community and media to help me speak up about this abusive situation and to help me find justice on the following basis:

1. My first duty as a citizen is to be loyal to Vietnam as a country and to the people of Vietnam, not loyalty to socialism.

2. I did not violate Article 88 because:
- I did not propagate or distort, defame "people's government" as I just sat there reading the online articles only.
- I did not use the psychological warfare rhetoric or fabricate news creating confusion among the Vietnamese people as I was simply reading those news articles.
- I did not produce, store and circulate documents with contents against the Socialist Republic of Vietnam because I was received articles (about democracy) from emails and I did not know the contents of these articles prior to reading them.

I urge all human rights organizations and mass media help defending me and my family from these stressful threats. Mr. Duong Van Tuan must publicly apologize to my family for the harassment and the wrong accusations. My mother’s health is worsen due to recent worries and being frightened for the safety of our familỵ.

I sincerely would like to thank you, all the human rights organizations and international media for helping me, and special thanks to the free lance Journalist Nguyen Khac Toan who has given me tremendous help and guidance. Lý do chỉ vì tôi thường xuyên hay xem tin tức, đọc tài liệu, bài vở trên Mạng internet, cụ thể diễn biến xin được tạm tóm tắt như sau :

Hồi 10 h sáng ngày 13/ 05/ 2011 khi tôi đang ngồi xem tìm hiểu tin tức tại quáninternet trước cổng trường thì bị một nhóm công an, mật vụ an ninh bảo vệ chính trị đông khoảng 20 người ập đếnkhống chế và bắt giữ. Họ tuyên bố với lý do là những thứ tôi đang đọc trên Mạng đã vi phạm pháp luật nhà nước CHXHCN Việt Nam, đồng thời họ cho rằng tôi đã tàng trữ những tài liệu có nội dung chống lạichế độ XHCN ở VN ở trong hộp thư cá nhân, rằng tôi đã vi phạm nghiêm trọng luật "an ninh quốc gia", vi phạm điều 88 bộ luật hình sự của "đảng và nhà nước CSVN". Khi tiến hành khám xét máy tính ngay tại tiệm internet ở địa điểm công an đã bắt giữ tôi, họ thu lại được 4 bài viếttrên Mạng, đó là những bài có tựa đề và nội dung như sau:

1. Viết về dân oan tại thành phố Vinh khiếu kiện
2. Viết về việc đình công của công nhân ở 1 nhà máy tại Hà Nội
3. Viết về việc sinh viên Nguyễn Anh Tuấn công khai đọc bài về TSCù Huy Hà Vũ.
4. Viết về vụ án Ts Cù Huy Hà Vũ, trót vì tay đã nhúng tràm.

Ngoài ra không còn gì hết. Sau đó họ thu giữ điện thoại di động củatôi và đưa tôi đi thẩm vấn tại trụ sở công an thành phố Thái Nguyên ngay lập tức. Những người trực tiếp thẩm vấngồm có ông Dương Văn Tuấn, Bùi Văn Chính…vv...Đến tối thì họ tạm cho tôi vềnhưng những ngày sau đó họ vẫn tiếp tục yêu cầu tôi lên trụ sở vàilần để tiếp tục thẩm vấn, làm việc rất căng thẳng. Đồng thời ngày 20/ 05/ 2011 họ có yêu cầu gia đình tôi lên để làmcam kết yêu cầu tôi không tái phạm nữa. Tuy nhiên họ không hề thông báotrước cho tôi về việc này, nên đến trưa cùng ngày tôi mới biết giađình nói lại. Điều đó gây một áp lực rất lớn với tôi vị mẹ tôi thường hay đau ốm màhôm đó trời lại mưa gió rất to. Mẹ tôi đã phải đi suốt hơn 80 km từ quê nhà để tới trụ sở anninh Thái Nguyên. Sau đó ngày 30/ 05/ 2011 họ có về trường trực tiếpthông báo về việc của tôi yêu cầu tôi phải nhận về những sai phạm củamình. Đến ngày 02/ 06/ 2011 tôi bị đưa ra trước hội đồng kỷ luật vàhình thức mà hội đồng kỷ luật trường CĐYT Thái Nguyên đưa ra, là buộc tôi phải bị thôi học vĩnh viễn, đồng thời phải thu xếp đồ đạc, hành lý cá nhân rời ngay khỏi ký túc xá của trường Cao đẳng y tế nơi tôi đã theo học hơn 2 năm qua. Tôi nhận thấy rằng, Cơ quan anninh tỉnh Thái Nguyên và của nhà nước Việt Nam đã cáo buộc tôi vi phạm điều 88 là hoàn toàn không cócăn cứ, là chụp mũ và là một dạng đàn áp quyền tự do chính kiến, tư tưởng, tự do thông tin...là vi phạm quyền con người của công dân. Tôi đã rõ ràng nhận thấy rằng những điều cáo buộc này của công an trong nước là hết sức phi lý và mong muốncác cơ quan ngôn luận khắp nơi hãy lên tiếng giúp tôi về việc này bởi các lý dosau đây :

1. Trước nhất bổn phận của tôi là một công dân phải trung thành với tổ quốc Việt Nam,dân tộc Việt Nam chứ không phải là trung thành với "chủ nghĩa xã hội- CNXH".
2. Tôi không hề vi phạm điều 88 vì:
- Tôi không hề Tuyên truyền xuyên tạc, phỉ báng "chính quyền nhân dân"vì đơn giản tôi chỉ đang ngồi đọc các bài viết đó trên mạng internet mà thôi.
- Tôi không hề Tuyên truyền những luận điệu chiến tranh tâm lý, phaotin bịa đặt gây hoang mang trong nhân dân vì đơn giản tôi chỉ đangngồi đọc những bài viết đó.
- Tôi không hề Làm ra, tàng trữ, lưu hành các tài liệu, văn hoá phẩmcó nội dung chống Nhà nước Cộng hoà xã hội chủ nghĩa Việt Nam vì nhữngbài viết đó tôi được một địa chỉ email khác gửi vào hòm thư điện tử của mìnhvà trước đó tôi không hề biết về nội dung của những bài viết này cụ thể là gì.

Vì vậy tôi khẩn thiết mong các cơ quan, thông tin đại chúng trong vàngoài nước lên tiếng bảo vệ tôi và gia đình đang bị uy hiếp, đe dọa rất nặng nề, căng thẳng. Đồng thời yêu cầu ôngDương Văn Tuấn phải công khai xin lỗi gia đình tôi vì đã quấy nhiễu gia đình tôi trong vụ việc vừa qua khi biết rõ là tôi không có tội, không hề vi phạm luật pháp của nhà nước CHXHCN VN. Trong khi đó thì mẹ tôi sức khỏe luôn đau yếu, thường rất hay đau ốm, bệnh tật và nhất là quá suy nghĩ lo lắng, khiếp sợ cho con cái mình cùng toàn thể gia đình phải sống trong không khí liên tục bị khủng bố, đe dọa.

Cuối cùng tôi xin chân thành cám ơn sự quan tâm của tất cả quý vị, quý các cơ quan và bạn bè khắp nơi đã đọc và giúp đỡ tôi trong hoàn cảnh gian nan, nguy hiểm như hiện nay đang phải chịu đựng.

Điều đó gây một áp lực rất lớn với tôi vị mẹ tôi thường hay đau ốm màhôm đó trời lại mưa gió rất to. Mẹ tôi đã phải đi suốt hơn 80 km từ quê nhà để tới trụ sở anninh Thái Nguyên. Sau đó ngày 30/ 05/ 2011 họ có về trường trực tiếpthông báo về việc của tôi yêu cầu tôi phải nhận về những sai phạm củamình. Đến ngày 02/ 06/ 2011 tôi bị đưa ra trước hội đồng kỷ luật vàhình thức mà hội đồng kỷ luật trường CĐYT Thái Nguyên đưa ra, là buộc tôi phải bị thôi học vĩnh viễn, đồng thời phải thu xếp đồ đạc, hành lý cá nhân rời ngay khỏi ký túc xá của trường Cao đẳng y tế nơi tôi đã theo học hơn 2 năm qua. Tôi nhận thấy rằng, Cơ quan anninh tỉnh Thái Nguyên và của nhà nước Việt Nam đã cáo buộc tôi vi phạm điều 88 là hoàn toàn không cócăn cứ, là chụp mũ và là một dạng đàn áp quyền tự do chính kiến, tư tưởng, tự do thông tin...là vi phạm quyền con người của công dân. Tôi đã rõ ràng nhận thấy rằng những điều cáo buộc này của công an trong nước là hết sức phi lý và mong muốncác cơ quan ngôn luận khắp nơi hãy lên tiếng giúp tôi về việc này bởi các lý dosau đây :

1. Trước nhất bổn phận của tôi là một công dân phải trung thành với tổ quốc Việt Nam,dân tộc Việt Nam chứ không phải là trung thành với "chủ nghĩa xã hội- CNXH".
2. Tôi không hề vi phạm điều 88 vì:
- Tôi không hề Tuyên truyền xuyên tạc, phỉ báng "chính quyền nhân dân"vì đơn giản tôi chỉ đang ngồi đọc các bài viết đó trên mạng internet mà thôi.
- Tôi không hề Tuyên truyền những luận điệu chiến tranh tâm lý, phaotin bịa đặt gây hoang mang trong nhân dân vì đơn giản tôi chỉ đangngồi đọc những bài viết đó.
- Tôi không hề Làm ra, tàng trữ, lưu hành các tài liệu, văn hoá phẩmcó nội dung chống Nhà nước Cộng hoà xã hội chủ nghĩa Việt Nam vì nhữngbài viết đó tôi được một địa chỉ email khác gửi vào hòm thư điện tử của mìnhvà trước đó tôi không hề biết về nội dung của những bài viết này cụ thể là gì.

Vì vậy tôi khẩn thiết mong các cơ quan, thông tin đại chúng trong vàngoài nước lên tiếng bảo vệ tôi và gia đình đang bị uy hiếp, đe dọa rất nặng nề, căng thẳng. Đồng thời yêu cầu ôngDương Văn Tuấn phải công khai xin lỗi gia đình tôi vì đã quấy nhiễu gia đình tôi trong vụ việc vừa qua khi biết rõ là tôi không có tội, không hề vi phạm luật pháp của nhà nước CHXHCN VN. Trong khi đó thì mẹ tôi sức khỏe luôn đau yếu, thường rất hay đau ốm, bệnh tật và nhất là quá suy nghĩ lo lắng, khiếp sợ cho con cái mình cùng toàn thể gia đình phải sống trong không khí liên tục bị khủng bố, đe dọa.

Cuối cùng tôi xin chân thành cám ơn sự quan tâm của tất cả quý vị, quý các cơ quan và bạn bè khắp nơi đã đọc và giúp đỡ tôi trong hoàn cảnh gian nan, nguy hiểm như hiện nay đang phải chịu đựng.
Tôi cũng chân thành đa tạ chú Nhà báo tự do Nguyễn Khắc Toàn ở thủ đô Hà Nội đã hướng dẫn, động viên, chỉ bảo, góp ý rất tận tình từ trước đến nay và vào bức thư tố cáo này rất đầy đủ, cũng như điều đặc biệt là chú đã chụp tấm hình của tôi ngay sau khi sự việc xảy ra để đưa lên công luận tỏ tường. Trong thư này tôi có nhờ chú nhà báo đính kèm 1 tấm hình chụp cá nhân tôi đang ngồi trong phòng làm việc của của chú ở số 11 Ngõ Tràng Tiền và 1 tấm hình chụp toàn văn quyết định đuổi học của hiệu trường CĐYT Thái Nguyên ký ngày 02/6/2011 đối với tôi.
