At least 10 people have been killed and at least 20 injured in a suicide bomb attack near the north-western Pakistani city of Peshawar, police say.
The blast ripped through a busy cattle market on the outskirts of the city.
Reports say the bomber appeared to have been targeting a local mayor, who was wounded in the attack.
Islamist militants have unleashed a campaign of attacks in Pakistan in recent weeks in retaliation for an army offensive in South Waziristan.
Last month a massive blast at Peshawar's Peepal Mandi market killed 118 people.
The government blamed the attack on Pakistani Taliban, but the head of the group denied being behind it.

Nazim Adizai among 8 killed in Peshawar blast: DCO

PESHAWAR: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Peshawar Sahibzadah Anis confirmed the killings of at least eight people in the blast in Adizai area of Matni in Peshawar, Geo News reported Sunday.

The DCO also confirmed that Nazim Adizai Abdul Malik also lost his life in the blast.

It should be mentioned that Abdul Malik, who is leader of local lashkar, was repeatedly ambushed in past; but, no attempt proved successful; however, this time the saboteurs injured him in their attack.

So is it a gang war now.

Lashkar vs Taliban.

Is the Lashkar on the side of the government?

Civillians should be left alone in this but how to make this barbarians understand.

Police: Suicide bomb in Pakistan market kills 12
PAKISTAN - 8 NOVEMBER 2009

PESHAWAR, Pakistan – A suicide bomber apparently targeting an anti-Taliban mayor struck a crowded market Sunday in northwest Pakistan, killing the mayor and 11 other people and injuring dozens, police said.

The morning attack took place in the town of Adazai, about 10 miles (16 kilometers) south of the main northwest city of Peshawar. The market was crowded with shoppers and goats being sold to celebrate the upcoming Muslim festival of Eid.

The mayor, Abdul Malik, who was initially reported to have survived, died in the attack, said Sahibzada Anis, the top official in Peshawar.

Malik, who had once been a Taliban supporter, had later switched sides and formed a local militia to help fight the militants.

"Malik had survived several attacks on his life in the recent past, since he turned against the militants," said Anis. "But today the militants have finally killed him."

Eleven bodies and 25 injured people had been rushed to the hospital, police officer Abdul Sattar Khan said. A young girl was among those killed and several of the injured were in critical condition, officials said.

Khan Zamir was buying goats for the Eid celebration when an explosion ripped through the street.

"That place turned into a hell where the dead and injured were lying everywhere and blood and flesh were spread around," he said, adding that two of his relatives were badly injured. "Now we have our blood in this war," he said, vowing revenge against the attackers.

Militants have struck numerous times in Pakistan in recent weeks, killing more than 300 civilians and soldiers in attacks aimed at weakening the government's resolve to continue a military operation against Taliban and al-Qaida fighters in South Waziristan.

The government launched the offensive in mid-October in the semiautonomous tribal region, which runs along the Afghan border and where the government has seldom had significant influence. The area has become the main Taliban and al-Qaida sanctuary in the country.

The military says hundreds of militants have been killed in the fighting — a claim the Taliban dismisses.

About 350,000 people have fled the fighting.

^^No it is Govt. of india which is the master mind and sponsor of all this.
http://www.defence.pk/forums/pakistans-war/37995-proof-indian-involvement-waziristan-found-army.html
indian embassies had been running terrorists training camps along side Pakistan border since US invasion of Afghanistan.
Now, in complicity of local govt. of NWFP all this terror activites are being carried out.

Showing the same ammunitions used by taliban as that India dosent mean that India is supporting terror, Grow up, U need to have solid proof, ur internal minister mr rahman malik says that he knows what he iss talking, but the only problem is , only he knows what hes talking, Always stands up and says India is supporting terror, and when asked for proof, he shows a nail used by taliban to hang his portrait and says same kind of design and nail is used by India... wtf:rofl::rofl:

11 killed in Pakistan bomb, anti-Taliban head dies

By Lehaz Ali (AFP) – 2 hours ago
PESHAWAR, Pakistan — A suicide car bomber struck near a local mayor's house in Pakistan's Peshawar city Sunday, killing 11 people including the one-time rebel backer turned anti-Taliban crusader, police said.
The bomber also wounded 36 people outside a property of Mayor Abdul Malik on the outskirts of the northwest city troubled by Islamist militancy. Malik, one of a number of city mayors, had raised a militia against Taliban rebels.
Pakistan is currently waging an offensive against insurgents in their northwest mountain hideouts, incurring the wrath of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) group, which has retaliated with a wave of deadly attacks.
"The suicide bomber came in a car and exploded it when the mayor was standing with some visitors outside his guesthouse near the local livestock market," district administration chief Sahibzada Anis told AFP.
"Eleven people have been killed and 36 others wounded. Nine of them are in a critical condition," Anis added.
Hospital officials said that two children were among the dead.
Malik, mayor of Adizai suburb on Peshawar's outskirts since 2006, once had close links to the hardline Taliban movement, but switched sides and had raised a local force to battle the Islamist extremists on the fringes of the city.
"Abdul Malik and a commander of the local anti-Taliban force are also among the dead," Peshawar police chief Liaqat Ali Khan told AFP.
"Malik passed away on the way to hospital."
An AFP reporter at the scene described the roads littered with the wreckage of cars and the corpses of cattle killed at the livestock market.
Pakistan has been hit by a wave of suicide blasts killing more than 350 people since early October. In the deadliest attack in two years, a car bombing killed 118 people on October 28 in Peshawar, the northwest capital.
Islamabad has blamed the attacks on TTP militants avenging both the military offensive against them and the killing of their leader Baitullah Mehsud in a US drone missile strike in the rugged northwest tribal belt in August.
Pakistan launched a fierce air and ground offensive into South Waziristan on October 17, with some 30,000 troops backed by fighter jets and helicopter gunships laying siege to the Pakistan Taliban's bolt-holes.
The semi-autonomous tribal belt has become a bastion for Taliban and Al-Qaeda rebels after the 2001 US-led invasion drove them out of Afghanistan, and Washington says the region is one of the world's most dangerous zones.
The long-awaited assault into the tribal region came after a spring offensive in and around the northwestern Swat valley, which the government declared a success in July. However, sporadic outbreaks of violence continue.
Military officials have encouraged local officials and tribal elders to raise militias -- known locally as lashkars -- to keep the rebels at bay.

Pakistan can certainly make it 5 times a day just as india as doing if it wants to. In fact maybe even 10.

What a great way to find friends and foes!!

You just did not notice post #7 blaming India straight away. How convenient! I won't be surprised if you say "India was behind it, as the thread starter is an Indian. How come he knows before Pakistanis?"

What a shame..

PS : And yes, I haven't found that 'RIP' word in Pakistani posts either!

It's despicable that some people would turn this tragic news into a flame war. Incredible insensitivity. That idiot who said "Situation Out Of Control", shame on you man. My people died today, at least have some decency. Also, "Lashkar" is an Urdu term meaning "group". Everytime someone uses the term "lashkar", please don't get your panties all bunched up in fake patriotism. For the fifteen millionth time, not everything in Pakistan has to do with India. Stop thinking that you are so important, please!

Every single day these cowards kill more of my people. Every single day innocent blood flows like water in my cities. Every single day, someone loses a parent, sibling or child in my country.

And yet, what do we do? We come online and type hate-filled words targeting people who have little to do with the murders. Our politicians hold inter-party meetings in exotic cities for the sake of "mutual friendship", criminals befriending criminals. Our leaders devise ways of sucking the nation dry.

They say it's darkest before dawn. I swear, I don't know how much darker it can get.

Edit
In case their posts get deleted, and everyone is wondering why I lost it:
