There are other priorities for now. Once the contest with the US is finished and it's pushed out of the western Pacific, China will dismember India like slaughtered livestock. China will get a security belt of "independent" client states below the Himalayas, Pakistan will get all of Kashmir and some other territories, the rebel provinces of Myanmar under Chinese control will get the northeast, etc.
