Dangers from India's interlinking of rivers project

The biggest problem Bangladesh faces is from the rising sea levels..not from India.Try to sort out that problem first otherwise you may well have thousands of refugees in your own country.

The RLP will contribute to the problem of rising sea levels if actually that becomes a serious problem.

Rivers flow out to the sea. If the rivers dry up then if there is a rise in the sea level there is nothing stopping the flow moving towards land. Also the rivers help create new land in the Bay from silt so when that stops there will be more erosion.

Yes I do moron. You must be new here.

So you have become blind to the problems faced by your country and all you can do is to find all the anti-Indian articles in the internet and post it here to satisfy yourself.

Next time try finding a few articles on rising sea levels and the problems your country faces in the near futute.

Then what would be his purpose here then ?. How would the forum will tolerate him here if he really starts to think about his countries problems. People love him for his anti Indian sentiments.

Readers just have to look at his flag and see his obsession with India. :victory:

Using common sense if less water is going to sea , it actually decreases water content of sea and sea level decreases.Replenishing the ground water is more required rather than feeding the sea which has plenty of water.

New land creation through silt is not necessary as these land cant be used for in-habitation.

By river linking we mean linking rivers of different regions.

For example in the case of India we have different monsoon zones , If rivers are interlinked the excess water from the rain water region gets transferred to dry areas thereby the irrigation, drinking water gets adequate to satisfy the needs of a very fast growing population. Also the ground water which is getting depleted by heavy usage of it through wells, bore wells gets replenished and ground water level actually increases.

Also river linking helps in controlling flash floods to a great level

If you don't know anything about a subject better keep quiet rather than spawning the venom of hatred in forums.

You have came down to such a level that your BS articles need no reply from us.

Rivers contain less than 1 % of the world’s water. Hence no danger of rising sea levels from drying rivers. Melting of Arctic and Antarctica contribute far more to rising sea levels than anything else at present.

This is one for the ages..if land is needed then do what Holland has been doing from centuries.Take it from the sea using dikes.

It isn't my theory dumb a$$e$$. This theory explains the increased salinity in the Sundarbans and southern regions of BD. The coast of BD is shallow so sea rise should not be a problem but it is because you dry up our rivers. We have 54 rivers running through BD with almost half being affected by India diversions.

Discuss the RLP which is a real threat to BD.

Why to talk on a project that is scrapped.

River inter-linking project too costly, scrapped: Minister
