The reason why Erdogan cannot directly work with Syrian government and instead insists on removing his legal and elected government, is that western axis has tried to pretend that Assad is killing Sunnis because he is an Alawite. I don't really know what is Erdogan doing at this moment. Which side he stands, but for sure this sectarian crap that he had started with western lead, left him in thousands of questions. He knows that Assad is elected by Syrian folks, millions voted for him, the same Sunnis that he was accusing Assad of massacring them, voted for Assad under US-Russia-Iran-UN watch and tens of governments congratulated Assad for that victory. Hopefully this madness ends without a war between Syria-Turkey, it's more dangerous to Turkey that it's main income is through tourism. And they have approached Russia already an other danger.

I was just trying to say that there is a balance which fortunately can avoid a war scenario between Turkey and Syria. Do you really want to fight against Syria and SAA? Please just tell me what then?!!!

The only way Russia and Turkey will go to war is if Turkey attacks a Russian base or if Russia attacks targets in Turkey. Neither will happen. If neither can convince the other of their position then at best Russia will grudgingly retreat and at worst they will try and trip up a Turkish advance on Afrin.
Assad will do no more than be a pain in the backside along the ES/Assad lines and the YPG are in no position to blackmail the US. The US is playing a tricky balancing game trying to push Turkey, but not too hard so the YPG will need to accept the US won't go to war with Turkey for them. If they don't like it tough. The US knows without them the YPG wouldn't last a month. There would be a mad dash from every faction in Syria to take control over the north.

So get a grip folks, Turkey wont go to war with Russia, Russia wont go to war with the US and the US wont go to war with Turkey. The battles will be done via their proxies SAA, FSA, SDF etc. and the most they will do to each other is try and limit their moves.

Some rebels are angry at turkey that Turkey took some of their forces out of aleppo and put them in afrin. Good move by turkey bcz rebels are going to lose south aleppo anyway so why not put them to good use against kurds which is vital for turkey's security. Assad is mainly worried bcz of erdogan's claim of northern syria not bcz of his love for kurds.
