The US admitted that they were used for storage or at least they fought they were. One US official even admitted that there should have been more civilian casualties from the fallout of bombing those facilities. This just proves several things, the US and it’s allies didn’t give a damn about civilians being gassed once they hit those factories and the US proved again that they lied. Of course it’s possible Assad shoved those weapons up his ***, or at least that will be the next excuse the coalition will use.

Some U.S. officials, however, are saying that the sites may have been inactive, as indicated by the fact that there were no casualties or chemical leaks from the facilities.

Some US officials were baffled as to why there was no casualties from bombings those facilities due to “chemical leaks”. (See above) Which proves they didn’t actually care. They were more interested in chest pounding.

Please keep in mind the political rhetoric prior to the strikes. Bashar al-Assad was unlikely to sit idle and not consider appropriate shakeups/readjustments (smart guy; I give you this).

There wasn't any element of surprise besides the timing of strikes.

What are you seeing that no one else is? Where is the proof that camouflage was used?

There is zero indication that anything was hit. No debris whatsoever. All I see is the ground being hit.

Those missile really showed the ground who is boss. But being a western fanboy you will claim those missiles hit secret camouflage areas

You can see a hump-like formation in the image on the LEFT and it appears to be camouflaged/carefully concealed.

The facility was used to "keep chemical weapon precursors stockpiled in breach of Syria's obligations under the Chemical Weapons Convention". Precursor chemicals are generally dual-use chemicals that can be combined to produce blister agents like sulphur mustard or nerve agents like Sarin.

"Very careful scientific analysis was applied to determine where best to target the Storm Shadows to maximise the destruction of the stockpiled chemicals and to minimise any risks of contamination to the surrounding area," the MoD added.

US is not shielding every rebel faction in Syria; American forces mainly shield YPG from external threats and/or those elements which seek refuge in their domain of operations inside Syria. To this end, American forces have shot down aircraft and repelled incursions in their domain of operations inside Syria from time-to-time.

US and Turkey reached an understanding in regards to handing over Afrin to Turkish domain of operations inside Syria but US has refused to budge from Manjib so far.​
