Truth be told there is no way for us to be sure independently of what was hit and what was intercepted.
Those who have illegally bombed Syria will say one thing, and Russia, Syria and Iran will say another.
They will all provide "evidence(s)" for their POV.

It just depends upon who you are willing to trust more.

But I am glad it was a limited strike (not condoning the illegal action BTW) and Russia was informed of them beforehand. Cos if it was an all out strike and Russian targets were included, well I am not sure that we would be here on PDF discussing this issue.

Also the rhetoric that it was not to take out Assad but limit/destroy the government's chemical weapons capability, implying that is was Syrian government which did the chemical attack is very clever. The investigation has not been done and they are attacking Syria before it. It seems like guilty before innocent rhetoric... very clever....

Forget 5th gen A/Cs or destroyers and other tech...one thing over which USA and west has undisputed command is the skill of building the "evidence" ...huge machinery with exceptional skills at building the evidence and narrative...

Another thing is why more than 100 missiles were used to attack only 3 sites?

There are a couple of reasons for that.

1. Overwhelming Syrias' air defense apparatus.
2. Making sure that all three targets were thoroughly neutralized.
3. Making sure that the large, multi-target Barzeh Research and Development Center was neutralized (this took the brunt of the action).
4. Propping the Trump Administration in PR terms for making a much more decisive impact than the Obama Administration did (we sent double the ordnance, HUUGE!).
5. Sending a message that chemical weapon proliferation and use will be met with excruciating force (sic).
6. Making sure that the targets would be neutralized if perchance the Russian air defense apparatus came online.

As I said before, this was a highly symbolic and public relations fueled action. If you view it in this context, there is no such thing as overkill.

Why the US didn't provide coordinates of these targets if they knew the targets were chemical weapons production facilities for OPCW to be investigated? And how they knew they could prevent catastrophic results of targeting a chemical storage site?

It's funny how Russians/Syrian are claiming that they have shot down 71 missiles yet they don't show Tomahawk wrecks, but here we have three large weapon complexes and bunkers totally destroyed.
