What's the point of having caste based regiments in this age? Doesn't that provide a ground for bullying when one of the caste dominates it?

A common misconception. There are some that are homogeneous, some that are mixed. In the homogeneous ones, there is no room for discrimination or bullying. For instance, the Sikh Regiment is largely Jat Sikh; the SLI is not. The Mahars have Mahars, the MLI don't. The Jats are Jats, up and down.
There are other regiments that are mixed. I've never, ever heard of caste discrimination in these.
I understand where you are coming from sir. I find the fascination of this mindset intriguing. Being bitter and not being able to accept criticism is rife in the mindset. I will refrain from engaging
I would be lying if I didn't confess I was amusing myself after climbing a culinary peak of sorts. Letting off tension, so to speak. The joker goes onto my ignore list now.
Thanks for the sympathetic reading. Studying them is fascinating, but also a bit morbid.
