Dalit organisations to eat beef in public opposing beef ban

Really? You did not even bother to read the news? It's just two paragraphs. Where does it say there is a beef ban in Karnataka?

And what's with the signature line? When had TN remained unconquered? Who are the Kalabhras then? Why was there a Madurai Sultanate? Why did the Vijayanagar empire have to dislodge the sultanate from power? What about the Nayakkar dynasty? What about the Arcot Nawabs? The Thanjavur Marathas? Never conquered, you say...Of course, never conquered, except for those times.
Edited my post long back..

Who respected arcot nawab? Do you know why kattabomman and Maruthu brothers were hanged??
How long Madurai sultanate existed and did they rule whole tamil nadu?... Do you know what is mean my unconquered? If someone comes and captures a city or village means whole tamil nadu is conquered?

The royal family is complete irrelevance... But class structure here is true as with anywhere else but the class structure is not a closed system ppl can move about within it.

So you can become the king/queen of England?

House of Lords - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In 1999, the Labour government brought forward the House of Lords Act removing the right of several hundred hereditary peers to sit in the House. The Act provided a temporary measure that only 92 individuals may continue to sit in the Upper House by virtue of hereditary peerages.

Of these, two remain in the House of Lords because they hold royal offices connected with Parliament: the Earl Marshal and the Lord Great Chamberlain. Of the remaining 90 members of the House of Lords sitting by virtue of a hereditary peerage in the House of Lords, 14 are elected by the whole House and 74 are chosen by fellow hereditary peers in the House of Lords, grouped by party. This Act, included the Principality of Wales and the Earldom of Chester and removed all Royal Peers including the Duke of Edinburgh, Duke of York, Earl of Wessex, Duke of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent.

Hereditary peerage, how socially progressive

So you position is dalit runs India and ambedkar was a fool who wasted his time on nothing

India has an active reservation system that encourages Dalits to step up:

The system is extremely harsh on the forward castes and provides the dalits and other backward castes an excellent platform to step up.

A city or a village, you say? The rest of the cities and villages became vassals to these cities, may I add. There was no other bigger kingdom in existence or even powerful enough to challenge these kingdoms when they existed. That means conquered. Do you know that Marudu brothers themselves accepted the Arcot Nawabs, Nayakkars and the Thanjavur Marathas as the rightful rulers of TN? They were ready to subjugate themselves to all three of these outsiders at the same time. And Kattabommu Nayakkar himself was an outsider.

Your hindutva education I see leaves you unable to comprehend basic English .....

One can not become king or queen of England just like that, however Kate is a commoner who would become a queen .

But king/queen that is one rung of the totem pole which is hereditary and yes it is an anachronism and should be gotten rid off. As for heridatary lords you might be surprised to know it is being phased out and rightly so. In times there will be lords but they will not have any say in the upper chamber of the parliament. A fully elected upper chamber would be preferable in my view. You are correct to point out the disparities in life chances and opportunities in UK.

However it is strech for you Mention these to somehow explain or draw parallel to caste system of Hinduism. The latter is an abomination to human dignity and cause of universal misery to all but the Brahmin. Ambedkar did not become buddhist just for show.

You point out the positive discrimination mechanism that is in place in India. I fail to understand the need for such things if Dalits were not discriminated against .

Your lamentation for the forward classes sounds like sour grapes...... Damn these Dalits why do they not know their places ..... Life would be so much better for you then I am sure ..... Poor poor Brahmins being put upon by and marginalised by the Dalits ..... You should start a programe to highlight the injustices suffered by the forward classes .... Oh sorry I forgot you have enough hindutva turds doing that already such as RSS etc

Thanjavur was only capital of Cholas, what about cheras and pandya territories.. why Marathas not captured that? Where you got that Maruthu brothers accepted Nawab? No one ruled the complete tamil nadu except the british...

Kate became a princess by marrying into the family - not by effort, unless you British call courting the prince and being a WAG an effort in England

So what you are saying is England, considered by itself, as a mighty developed nation has a chance to slowly improve itself on the social mobility front and still has a billion challenges - that's alright - but when India does the same, it's an abomination?

This is a 60 year old story. Let's talk about why England has it's own church again? Oh yes, some "royal" dude decided he wanted to go against the Catholic church and the people had to follow him of course.

Can you have a catholic prime minister again? (oh and not in the closet ones like Blair). And you talk about equality

We have had Muslims, Sikhs and Dalits as presidents, prime ministers and chief ministers respectively.

You point out the positive discrimination mechanism that is in place in India. I fail to understand the need for such things if Dalits were not discriminated against .

Who the hell mentioned they were/are not being discriminated against? I'm just saying the levels of discrimination has dropped significantly and there are state sponsored avenues for the backward sections of the society to rise up. The British ruled India for 300 odd years, and what exactly did they do to uplift the dalits till 1932 when they tried to dvidie India on communal lines since independence movement was on fast track anyway? :disagree:

It's a complicated history. But I will explain to you in a simple manner.

The Delhi sultanate had vanquished all Tamil kingdoms (Thanjavur was under Pandyas, then). After the establishment of Madurai sultanate, it was defeated by the Vijayanagar empire. After which Madurai Nayaks gained prominence. Madurai Nayaks split among themselves and one kingdom was established in Madurai, while another under Alagiri Nayakkar was established in Tanjore. Marathas then took over Tanjore by defeating Alagiri.

When the Chola Kingdom (Thanjavur) was being ruled by Marathas, the Pandya Kingdom (Madurai) itself was being ruled by Nayakkars. Nayakkars as I do not have to explain to you were from Andhra and were not Tamils. At the same time, the Arcot was being ruled by Nawabs. Chera Kingdom was already with the Zamorins and the Travancore dynasties. Parts of Pandya kingdom also went to Travancore. So, as you see all of TN at the same time was under outsiders.

As for Maruthu, accepting their supremacy, please read the document in this article. A Declaration of Independence You Have Probably Not Heard About | Swarajya

I quote from the Declaration by Maruthu:

"Therefore it is devised and determined that in future each shall enjoy his hereditary Rights, namely to His Highness the Nawab Arcot Subah, Vijaya Ramanah Tirumala Nayak the Carnatic, Tanjore the first place and to others their respective kingdoms all to be given to their rightful sovereigns without any violation of faith and national customs (The Europeans must) confine themselves to a dependent service on the Nawab from which they may expect to derive a real and uninterrupted happiness.
As the authority of the Europeans will be destroyed, we shall enjoy as in the service of the Nawab, constant happiness without tears."

Oh dear.... Dealing with a retard I see....

I called the caste system in Hinduism an abomination not the effort to get rid of it.

Do not talk about something you have no idea about. Caste system is nothing but a society organized and differentiated based on skilled labors. While a few people suffered under caste system under foreign invasions, the whole of Islam and Christianity history and theology supported slavery which is a million times worst than caste system.

So,from now on a Bangaldeshi lungiwala like you will give us lectures about the shortcomings of Hinduism:lol:!Man,accept the fact that your ancestors were cowards who converted to an alien religion and accepted an alien culture while ditching their own just to save their a$$es from those invaders. On the contrary,we the real Bengalis never bowed down to those Central asian barbarians and resisted their attempts to impose their alien religion and culture on us and hence even after 600 years of relentless Islamic persecution,we refused to budge in to their pressure and still continue to follow the religion, culture and traditions of our forefathers unlike your countrymen:coffee:!!

Idiotic as usual, the ban is in Maharashtra and they are protesting in Karantaka. Too poor to travel to Mumbai and protest there?

Anyway, good to see them involving the libtard Karnad.

thats absolutely normal.. dalits eat pork too..and muslims hate them for that.... do you support that sir???
Lmao where did you get your info? Muslims don't hate anyone for eating pork, dog, donkey or whatever; it's just that we don't eat it. Some years back when there were foreigners working on a construction project in my area, villagers would hunt the wild boar and sell it to them at a good price.
It's funny how Hindis believe pig to Muslims is what cow is to them - we find pork disgusting and filthy, not revered.
I'm all for the non-Muslims' right to be able eat whatever they like...including pork.

Doubtful claim ..... Whatever the faults of Christianity or Islam does not excuse what is essentially institutionalised slavery and exploitation of the masses by a few and this being the essence of Hindu society is the abomination. And it has been going on for longer than both Christianity and Islam has been around combined.

Belittle the suffering of others as do so callously ..... I guess this is hindutva brainwashing in action

Shortcomings of hinduisms are many.... I don't really need to say anything about it .....

Well good for you for resisting the invaders and good for you being the real Bengali..... A quick question which one of us is from a ethno-linguistically sovereign country? Last time I was in the Culcutta all I saw were you real bengalies servicing your Marwari masters....

You make it out as if we should be ashamed of becoming Muslims..... Guess what we are not..... my forefathers killed two birds with one stone .... They escaped from the tyranny of the caste system of Hinduism And embraced a progressive faith and bettered their lot.

Well said .... It is the result of hindutva education..... They probably do think we don't eat pigs out of reverence ..... Muslims do not revere any animal.....

Muslims do not care what anyone eats . We do not consider pig to be suitable for human consumption. I have never seen any muslim having a problem with anyone eating/drinking anything they want. All any muslim ever says don't tell us what to eat or not to eat we will take care of ourselves and everybody else is free to do the same.
