But still Indian movie industry (Bollywood,Kollywood,Tollywood,.....) is the second largest movie industry in the world. And all that money is pumped into the Indian economy only.

We never shy away from accepting that thieves are also found here but the difference is that Indians always justify this theft we dont.

Besides there should be difference between stealing by renowned name and a street thief. See Indian film industry is big huge and known anything that is copied by it and anything copied by our rag tag uneducated film financiers here (Currently) are two different levels.

Jana i think his point is that it could be a folk song and you know how popular folk songs(or their adaptations) have been in our films.

E.g. the recent song 'mahangai dayan' from the movie 'peepli live' is also a folk song.

I AM FROM BIHAR..this is an age old song which we used to sing in early teenage in mischievous way ..Although some idiot later recorded this in '98, that does not mean this song was not there before 98..It has been in bihar and some parts of UP since like forever..
And Yes if UMAR SHARIF recorded in '93 then he copied it as well..

Well did not use FOLK SONG term because it was being used very openly..Every child in Teenage use to sing it and was passed from seniors to juniors..

But he said its good to see my father song is listened across the border, but IMO people dont even know who really sang this song, atleast they shud give him a credit
