No need for you to know Prague, since it doesnt want chinese investment anyways.
I think what China doesnt understand is, that its pressure tactics dont work in Europe. As the article states, chinese behavior is seen as inadequate in european countries and leads to pushback. Same happened in Australia.
Btw Pangolins are way cooler than boring Pandas.
Better than braindead eastern puppets.
maybe heart broken but those brothels are gonna be broke, no china money.China must be heartbroken
The Czech Republic is a satellite country of the former Soviet Union. The local culture of these satellite countries has been suppressed by the Soviet Union (the Czech Republic even had the February incident), so they must have a strong xenophobia. These are emotional outbursts from unimportant politicians. At the end of the day, Czechs get to stare at a couple pangolins instead of majestic pandas. Nothing else changes.

The Czech Republic is a former communist country. Their people must have strong patriotism, which can easily be distorted into populism by right-wing politicians. With the cooperation of the right-wing media, it is easy for the Czech people to be hostile to the so-called "anti freedom ethnic groups" and "extreme religious groups" labeled by the right-wing media.
When dealing with such a country, the Chinese will clearly understand that we are actually dealing with a right-wing politician group.
Right wing politicians are usually driven by interests, they choose the right wing for electoral advantage, almost all of these politicians are spokesmen for the interests of some enterprises. These people talk about their nation and ideals, but what they want is business and money. So we just need to impose economic sanctions on them, for China, this is simple.
In fact, these people only believe in the laws and interests of the jungle, and their lack of practical governance experience will make them prone to misjudgment and arrogance. Only when we let them fully understand the difference between cooperation and non cooperation can we have real and effective communication with them.
Your opinion doesn't matter. You are wrong, as Czech Republic already said that they have no interest in chinese tourists, they aftually want limit tourists. Thats what you dont get, in Europe we stand for what we see as right. And as it looks, China might lose its investment here in Greece as well.
Thousands of Greeks sued COSCO, which invested billions in the harbor of Piraeus. The current government in Greece starts to push back chinese influence and condemned human rights issues in China. The contract COSCO signed says, that COSCO loses all its investment in case it doesnt fullfill its investment promises within 5 years. So far those thousands of lawsuits and our government agency block at evry corner, progress gets slower and slower and its only 3 years left.
As it looks, the chinese will break at our bureaucracy.
Greece’s ambivalent romance with China
China has engaged in a long-term game regarding Greece, which Beijing still sees as a valuable hub in Europe, despite recent turnarounds, writes Philippe Le Corre.www.euractiv.com
For years China used to lend Pandas as PR tool to zoos all over the world. The same was planned for the zoo in Prague, but rising tensions between various european countries and China made Prague cancel the Panda project and instead now signed a contract with Taiwan for 2 pangolins.
Prague also ditched a city partnership with Beijing and made a partnership with Taipei.
The Broken Promise of a Panda: How Prague’s Relations With Beijing Soured (Published 2019)
When a new mayor of the Czech capital refused to toe the line on Taiwan, Beijing severed its sister-city relationship. Broader repercussions followed.www.nytimes.com
P.s.: What i find badass, is how the mayor of Prague handled the issue. At the new year celebration he also invited an ambassador from Taiwan. The chinese ambassador tormed to the mayor and demanded that the taiwanese must leave. The mayor just said, that he does not send his guests away and adviced the chinese ambassador that he is free to leave, if he doesnt like the other guests.
Their ambassador stormed out, so i guess it had a psychological effect. So sad.
Lesson for them: nobody tells Europeans what to do and what not. Its that simple. We stand above such things.
What is this ? czech and greece? who care about you little attention whores? Go ahead and do what you like. And we will punish you if you cross the line, then you can cry before your american and EU papas that china is a bully and get their attention,it is a win-win situation.
Pangolin look fckn disgusting ,who even wanna see that? I get creeps taking small glimpse at that ugly thing.
Imagine having to receive a pangolin instead of a panda? shooting in ones's own foot? These minnow state of Europe are like the brainless henchmen of a redneck tribe leader(herein US) ,always desperate to prove themselves .
Thats nice for China. Too bad we dont care in Europe. Taiwan is a friendly country and we decide about that.
Pandas are low intelligence, are boring and as common as cows in zoos. Pangolins are cute, endangered and extremly interesting.
I chose the pangolin over a panda any day.
