I would love to believe her as I despise Zardari and his minions but the question is if she got raped why the fcuk did she hang around in Pakistan? A western woman would go create a ruckus if this happened by bringing their government into it ~ in this case USA no less. Or failing to exact justice would leave Pakistan and never come back ever again. From afar condemn Pakistan etc.

There is an entire list of far more powerful women in the US who stayed quiet and did not publicize their sexual assaults at the hands of powerful men because they were afraid their careers would be destroyed. Given Pakistan's poor reputation when it comes to investigating and prosecuting crimes, do you really think she wasn't worried that accusing the Prime Minister and Interior minister of a country she was living and working in would really go anywhere?

This was also at the height of the TTP terrorist campaign in Pakistan. Would anyone have even questioned Cynthia (an American) being kidnapped or shot in cold blood at that point in time?

She has claimed in this video that at the time interior minister Rehman Malik raped her, whilst at President House. She also claimed that PM Gilani and and the federal health minister physically man-handled her.

It is best for the government to act immediately and carry out fair proceedings.

Pakistanis are especially proud of the respect offered to guests and to women. There are bad apples everywhere but you have to show that you will weed out the bad influences.

This can either be a chance to show how much Pakistan cares or a warning to future visitors.

Kuldeep Sengar cannot be compared to Rehman Malik. Rehman Malik held a cabinet post in Pakistan. Kuldeep Sengar was a local low level politician in UP who nobody had heard of before the rape.

I suspect she has a better chance of revealing her allegations to international officials and asking Interpol to pursue it. As you have alluded to, there is just too much injustice and corruption in the Pakistani justice system.

It's sad to say but a woman can be raped anywhere. If every woman left a place of residency for sexual assault or harassment, all women would be living on Mars

I suspect she has a better chance of revealing her allegations to international officials and asking Interpol to pursue it. As you have alluded to, there is just too much injustice and corruption in the Pakistani justice system.

This would be an extremely hard case to win even in the West.

The passage of time means there's likely no physical evidence, so her best bet would be individuals she confided in soon after the rape and assaults occurred. At that point this goes into the hands of the judges and how they view the credibility of the accuser, her account and those she confided in. I doubt she'll fight this in court unless the PPP and/or those she's accused take her to court.
