What's new

CWG will be better than Beijing Olympics: Kalmadi

I second that
Government is by the people for the people and of the people

but if people are corrupt it is
Government by the corrupt for the corrupt and of the corrupt

But i think India is changing with economic progress more transperacy are coming to system
The Right to information act will empower people to Kick these corrupt people

However, this is not shirk its responsibility? Do not need to change? How to change? How long a democratic system needs to change? This situation really problem? If you can not change or too long, can still insist democracy, can not change modes?

.
China's democratic camp has been that democracy is the kind of system, not "rely on people management", ok,the Indian people are also corrupt, but the system's advantage? India has no system of prevention, for the supervision of officials? If so, I do not think India is also a democracy.

Democracy take its own time.It cannot generate great efficiency
yet continuously evolving it can reach to optimal value

And regarding change it just work likes a cycle once started to move slowly but surely it will get bigger and bigger each time and will involve more people

On the question of sticking to democracy it is tried and tested way elsewhere
and it is in roots so any change to it would blow up the whole thing

The problem with Chinese democracy is that the Chinese people + Chinese democracy advocates don't really understand democracy. China needs to build an understanding and tradition of democracy on smaller issues before it can take the step of democratizing.

Do I support Chinese democracy right now? No
Do I support Canadian democracy? Absolutely and whole-heartedly.

This is the difference

I think you make a very good point. Democracies do tend towards the optimal albeit at a slow rate. The fact of it is China cannot afford this kind of slow change, the last 30 years of the Chinese economic miracle would not have been possible if an Indian style democratic system was in charge.

India has system for supervision, but not properly enforced
but it is not kleptocracy altogether
There are changes coming like Right to information act

True India is not a perfect democracy like sweden

The advantage of system is that it will deliver albeit late but it will deliver proper life for its people

blow up the whole thing? So what? There are no examples of human history? Humans for their own development never begrudge any old things blow up, what are you afraid of? In other words, democracy is kind of slavery, serf owners worry serfs revolt, destroying their lives? Sorry, this may be sharp, but is the only debate, no attacks.

In fact, I do not think that all developing countries really need the "slow", it is a crime, so no longer needed, why should adhere to.

It is not like that we can not move from old ideologies we changed when our previous system of socialism failed outrightly.
But regarding our democracy it has not failed but moving at a slow pace.
It was our economic structure that let us down for so many years, not the democracy

And the success of china is because it opened its economy not like Soviets which allowed its government crumble by not opening up

No developing nation needs democracy if it has an excellent autocratic one like China's. The problems government like China is hard to come by even for China. We had to suffer years of bad government and bad policies before we got it right.

It required great leaders like deng xiapong
Otherwise it is a very risky thing
as an example you can look up to north korea

Well, democracy is not wrong, all wrong is not a democracy, and democracy is not a system? And management and governance does not matter? Democracy as a system even with the economic structure does not matter?

India's corruption beyond my imagination, when I know something, I can not understand why India is "democratic state", the people's supervision where? China is not a democratic country, but anywhere there is so corrupt, angry public opinion will drown it, the Chinese government to maintain their legitimate rule, must cater to the public, So that corruption in China is difficult to exist, it is clear that China government pay more attention to people public opinion than the “democracy India”.Or India's democracy is only a game, actually is not true.

Democratic system (or any other system) does not give guarantee for corrupt-free system. This is the reason even in countries with hard penalty system faces such problem too. US is democratic country but there is Corruption but not on such level. The solution is to such problem is strong judiciary and proper enforcement of Law which again is corrupted in few countries including mine. We have Central Vigilence Committe (CVC) and Anti Corruption Buereu to control Corruption and then we, as normal people, have democratic right as Right to Information (RTI) and open juidiciary (PIL etc) but usage of both is again less.

I only ask you a question, developing countries need such democracy?
