British were colonizers, they came all the way from Europe, had nothing in common with the natives. Kashmiris and "Indians" is a whole different story, not that different.

When 200 million other Muslims can call themselves Indians what so special about 6 or so million Million Muslims of the Kashmir valley? Why exactly do they need a separate nation for themselves

Ok, so let's say they get 'azadi'. What is in it for Pakistanis in general? Will there be more food on the table? Would Pakistan's economy shoot through the roof as the fastest growing economy of the world? (Like your nuke program!). Will health and education improve by leaps and bounds? Will inflation come sliding down? Would poverty be eliminated? Would the GDP reach dizzying heights? Will the TTP surrender to the PA? Would sectarian strife in places like Karachi cease? Would the Balochistan problem go away? NO!

Do you guys think you would be totally at peace with yourselves and the world, seeing that the Muslims of the Valley have got independence? Great! Clap! Clap!....Now what? Of course , off topic/troll posts on an irrelevant threads are a ban worthy offense at PDF , haven't you read the rules so to make it seem that somehow the moderators are partial towards Indians ? Probably you perceive the situation to be much more serious than it actually is. The density of troops on the ground is not that high. I have been to Kashmir many times and you just see a few soldiers here and there. Its a border state and the Army would have been there in large numbers regardless of militancy.

In general Kashmir is a peaceful state with few murders, dacoities etc. Big states like UP, Bihar are far more violent. A few insurgency incidents dont really add up to much.
