But the situation is only de-escalating and is likely to be almost normal in future. A few stray incidences, here and there, will happen but that's not a big deal. Higher number of incidences occur in so called "normal" states of India.

It is very important to realize that the window of opportunity on Kashmir has closed long ago. Status quo and uneasy peace is what remains for the future.

Probably you perceive the situation to be much more serious than it actually is. The density of troops on the ground is not that high. I have been to Kashmir many times and you just see a few soldiers here and there. Its a border state and the Army would have been there in large numbers regardless of militancy.

In general Kashmir is a peaceful state with few murders, dacoities etc. Big states like UP, Bihar are far more violent. A few insurgency incidents dont really add up to much.

And yes of course only Indians can't subdue freedom. Turks however can subdue the Kurds, Chinese can subdue the Uighurs and Tibetans, Russians can subdue the Chechens, Bahrainis can subdue the Shias, Pakistan can subdue the Baloch, but Indians when it comes to Kashmir hell no, freedom can't be subdued! If you are going to take a moral stand at least be consistent.

I'm just responding to Indian hypocrisy here about Xinjiang and Tibet. Don't dish it out if you can't take it! And what freedom are you talking about when protesters are shot in the streets ?
