Azerbaijan and Gerogia is one of the routes for NATO along with Pakistan and the Russian routes.
Now it is difficult when anyone of these routes is disconnected.
Pakistan has stopped supplies through its territory a couple of times, that made NATO increasingly dependent on NDN. If Russia decide to close its route then NATO will be dependent on the extremely costly Caspian route for all its supplies. That is not a situation that they will want to be in.
