its a confusing ideology - as it has many layers - dvaitins (dualistic) believe one cannot be 1 with god but advaitin (non dualistic) believe in Oneness in brahman , visistadvaitins will say both is possible sort of grey area. A Hindu will say all 3 is possible as all 3 is in 1 lol .
