A true Muslim both loves and fears Allah at the same time.. I assume you believe in a God too. So in your view is a muslim more mis guided or a hindu who adheres to atheist school of hinduism?

I don't Think anyone is misguided .
A religious text is as good as its interpreter .

.
Similar but different as well . IMHO Buddhism is far more refined version of Hinduism . Its like they took all the good things and left bad ones behind .

I don't necessarily think that one is better than the other, they are basically from the same family.

My parents are Buddhist though, so Dharmic religions all the way. :china:

No,hinduism says there can be more than one god, depends on how you call him.
You can be called hindu if you belive all paths lead to god.

what do you mean all paths? Secular, monotheist, polytheist. Does that not sound a bit contradictory. Btw you guys can't agree whether i am Hindu or not

.
you cant be a Hindu - to be a Hindu one need to believe in the Hindu religious fundamentals e.gs the concept of reincarnation - a continuous cycle of birth and death , worship the non monotheistic god

also be on the alert as Hindu terrorists have infiltrated Sikhism

As I said .
Hindu as a political and Social Phenomena , Means people beyond Indus , between Himalayas in North and Above Indian Ocean . Which very much makes Pakistanis Hindu
When it comes to religion , Different people have different views .

nobody knows whether you are hindu or not.. its upto you.. since there is almost no common thing on which all hindus agree..
besides who can give such certificate?

.
a way of life is not safe from flaws as well. a way of life when goes wrong can plague the society just as Hindu castism has plagued Indian society. why not to compare it then?

Islam preaches Muslim way of Life , Jesus preaches Christian way of life . etc
Any way of life is not safe and has flaws .

Flaws are part of Nature .

.
It is the same. The two countries to not be ruled by colonials, Nepal and Thailand, do not observe any difference between Buddhism and Hinduism. Any reading of these as different religions was purely a British construct.

I don't have any problem with that, the world views are so similar that they might as well be the same.

What cool thing about dharmic religions is i identify myself as an agnostic but still no one would be telling me i would be going to hell and i would be fried in hot oil for all eternity for not believing :) . plus no issues if you believe in your village god or you clan god or your ancestors or river/tree/animals . All is cool over here :D .

Yeah Dharmic religions are super flexible and adaptable, I consider it to be almost more cultural than religious.

I would consider myself a cultural Buddhist even though I'm technically an Agnostic as well.

There is no contradiction,i will expain that in detail tomorrow .

Regarding you being hindu or not,its up to you to deside what you want to be.its not how you pray and whom you pray.if you belive 5 times praying to allah or praying to jesus or any other god will take you closer to god then you are Hindu.if you belive only one path will take you there then you are not a hindu.hope that makes it clear.

your phenomena will have to exclude Tamil-Dravidians, as they are outside your scope of Hindu definition - a good reading on Tamil history/culture . might help clear your clouded mind
