You are absolutely right, a lot of the coconuts posting here extolling the virtues of the Nazi Ukrainians are just an echo chamber of western lies and parrot their masters. Ukrainians, Bulgarians, Hungarians and Poles and most of the Slavs are extremely ignorant and racist. They try to outdo the west in terms of sheer Islamophobia and racism. If you saw the interview of the Polish scum foreign minister, you would have thought that he was speaking for Modi or the KKK, in terms of maligning Muslims as a whole and regurgitating nonsense like "Poland is terrorism free because there are no Muslims here and we don't want them" and yet these racist savages have been killing each other by the millions for centuries.

Scandanavia was painted as ideal societies and Eastern Europe was experimenting in socialist utopia. Now that I am grey and wiser after having seen much of the world I consider these places as hell holes.

To begin they have freezing climate, lack of sun shine, drab which would drive you to suicided. But as if that is not bad enough the traditional family has broken down. Men have just become biological sperm banks to be used and discarded like condoms.

By middle age the men are broken, isolated and surivive like zombies on ample alcohol. The suicide rates are appaling. Above 40 the population pyramid is skewed because of the number of men who die.

Many of these societies may support worlds best statistics. But life is more then statistics. I lost my wife few weeks ago to cancer. On paper I should be living it. House, car, living standard, salary etc but the reality is I feel more rotten then a begger in Mumbai.

I guess what I am saying is the human condition is far more complex then any statistics can abstract.

For the upper middle class in India, countries like the UK are a step down in living standards.
In my immediate family , people have worked in uk for a few years but came back permanently to India.
I have a close relative, who has a British passport, who chose to return to India last week , after just 10 months of studies in the uk.
Says love for delhi has reached new heights after 10 months in London. And delhi is not considered a good place to live in by popular media.
Says racism is blatant, the tube is like a toilet compared to the delhi metro and the weather ofcourse is bad.

Ofcourse for people from the pinds, who have never stepped outside their villages, uk or Canada is like heaven.

No, treatment is all on NHS although there was not really much treatemt but moree palliative - my point was we can have all the money in the world, possessons, cars, houses etc but you can still be utterly unhappy. These stats don't quite capture the human condition.
