It's a misconception that foreign aid means charity.

Foreign aid is to serve donor countries instead of targeted countries.

The numbers reflect time value of money. India got amount of significant funds in 1960s and 1974. Direct assistance to India fell sharply from the 1980s onward.

As a point of comparison, the United States has pledged seven times more aid to Pakistan than to Bangladesh, a neighboring country with a comparable population size and similar development needs.

Of course, the United States is just one of many countries and institutions that provide financial assistance to Pakistan.

This is American aid to Pakistan. Those tables indicate largest recipients of total aid. But nice try, Muhajir sahib.
