Wouldn't it be dependent on GPS for far range? GPS jammer would **** up UAV communication with ground stations.

PAF should geniunely look into drone programmes. In a day and age where f16s have been changed into drones Remote controled so to speak and we still treat our f16s as golden eggs. We need to innovate otherwise we will always be wanna bes. Pakistan has pontential to be a super power but sacrifice has to be made in all walks of life to achieve this dream.The United States was not all bright and shiny as it is today. Their people sacrificed a long time ago when no one was there to see it. It set them on the path to world leadership. Ooops back to drone tech. K8s with a workable data link and a decent radar could be very usefull. Highly muneverable UAVs could be used as expendable interceptors. It can take more risks without any pilot thinking about anything to loose a deadly BVR killer.

We could be like the US if we wanted to BUT it would take lots of time and sacrifice. We would not live to see the day and maybe that is not Pakistans purpose either. Other countries donot have combat aircraft drones but they do have UAVs. We should research and develop a UAV interceptor.

Also, UCAVs have almost no form of defense as they can barely maneuver at all and a ground operator has way less combat awareness than a pilot. If India gets S-400 they will be easy targets.

The only way to stop S-400 is to use swarmed drones to distract it and fire SOM-J cruise missile from akinci but for this to happen you need to acquire the location of S-400 through intelligence gathering operations
