Could K-8 Karakorum work as BVRAAM carrier for JF-17?

If a K-8 can take out a Su-30 or any other combat plane than it is worth it.
wow K-8 has no long range radar hence BVR and Su-30 is more maneuverable/agile then K-8 and also have better ECM/EW capability Then K-8, the main job for K-8 for advance training of pilots not to fight enemy's front line jets @Philip the Arab :crazy:

I told you before lol, can't it use the radar of the JF-17 for targeting? All JF-17 has to do is have a datalink and the ability to input inertial data for SD-10.

not needed JF-17 is more suited for air to air fight with enemy front line jets, as increasing SD-10 quantity of JF-17 we have dual rack option for JF-17 which increases carrying capability of JF-17 2 to 6 SD-10 per JF-17, PAF top brass knows better then both of us that what are they doing or will do in the case of war @Philip the Arab

I'm talking about currently which means IAF outnumbers PAF with heavy fighters while PAF only has light multirole aircraft. PAF does not have enough jets equipped with BVR missiles to counter all of India's aircraft.

PAF wants not destroy all IAF jets in case of war but will try destroy main air defense jets like MKI/Mirage-2000/ Mig-29 and some how Tejas to demoralize IAF rest of inventory has junk MIG-21/Jaguar trainer and support aircraft, in 65 war we have 1/6 ratio of fighter jets in favor of IAF but we were still manege to most of their jets then, current ratio of fighter jets of IAF/PAF in between 1-3 so we can easily manege IAF with our air superiority jets JF-17/F-16 combo @Philip the Arab

You are right, but JF-17 needs more BVRAAMs on hardpoints immediately. I will be very disappointed in PAF decides not to integrate at least 2 more SD-10s for a total of 4.

It is early morning here and i am wondering why this babbling on K8 and BVRs'. Man, i am going out to smell the cows but really come on guys. When M3/5s are not having BVRs AAMs what grass herbs are being smoked here?
The other fellow is clearly lost.
K8/Impalas are more or less the same - suited for light ground attack and if lucky can go after helicopters/trainers nothing more. There were close to 200 impalas on peak operations time and they were flying literally at treetop levels in Angolas on missions; my goodness these boys knew how to fly; many times SA7s were targetted and were still able to get away.
Leave the BVRs to JF17 and F16s; think of other work for under appreciated K8.

I'm saying that K-8s can carry the BVRAAMS for the JF-17, meaning it does not have its own targeting radar, or needed avionics but relies on a data link from JF-17 for engaging targets where targeting data is input directly but JF-17 pilot to K-8. It isn't impossible irl.

Stupid idea, K-8 is a subsonic jet where as enemy bring supersonic (Mach-2+) jets @Philip the Arab

I know this, but RCS of K-8 is very, very low and I highly doubt reliable tracking could be had by Indian jets until close range. If K-8 could take off use JF-17 radar, engage from 70-100 KM, and GTFO and fly back to base it would work. This would of course be assuming Pakistani airbases were undamaged.

Of course I do, but I highly doubt this is what is going to happen for some reason.
There is a option i would like to say if situation a rise for using 6 SD-10 per jet and BVR didn't fires at extreme range mostly fire within the NEZ (NO ESCAPE ZONE) which means target can't out ran BVR whether its retreating or coming toward you ( head on or tail chase) @Philip the Arab

Also, back in the late 80s the BAE Hawk was made into Hawk 200 a fighter that could carry BVR missiles (Skyflash) even though it wasn't super fast or manuverable. Same could be done with K-8 but without needing radar.

No they have AWACS/ long range ground radars like Green Pine from Israel along the border, MKI BARs radar have a range of 400 KM and track 150 km away enemy jets which have a RCS of 1m2 square @Philip the Arab

Skyflash/Hawk combo is also more venerable, Because its not true fire and forget BVR like AMRAAM/R-77/SD-10 BVR @Philip the Arab
