You cant say insignificant the Brexit result was 48 to 52. That's very close
I think things will settle down once the fog clears. Britain is an economy that cannot be ignored and as the EU says will be a significant competitor. But in the short term we will have a few years of uncertainty. Labour shortages in critical industries such as farming NHS and other jobs that many Brits do not want to do
Well if you look at the result more carefully by constituency 406 voted Leave 242 Remain so it wasn't as close. Also many voted remain out of fear for the economy which never materialised, where as brexiters voted out of conviction.
You are right about the rest, although applications for nurses form UK residents have surged with recent announcements so we will get over the labour shortages.
I voted no for brexit. And moved out of the island few months later. I can tell you how much of shithl hole UK has become after brexit. Both economy wise and day to day living. It's kind of a civil war already with a huge division hate has become apparent. Than it was before.
No other country in the EU is planing stupid independence from EU including France. I have asked french here.
Brexit happened with many Indians votes to create their own lobby in island. Many Pakistani taxi drivers were forcefully scarred that Africans would come and steal their jobs. And many youngsters didn't vote. SlAnd in the end , it fucked it all up. Same.goes for the election where ppl were scared by ads like turkey joining EU. #Cambridge analytica I don't trust the election results at all
Economy once goes down will never get back up. At least not in 2 years. EU has grabbed the UK by balls. And not the other way around. English live in Victorian era in their minds.
Yes things are going towards Scottish independence. And Scotland will go that route. They wouldn't want to sink with the UK. Boris can't say no to it practically. Becsuse English and scotts signed a contract .and that will.reduce the UK to a dot on the map.the whole purpose of EU is to help.ohjer countries with weaker economy. Scotland has big oil reserves too. UK is at complete loss with incompetent BJ leading
Good for you, the UK isn't a s$hithole that is the biggest load of rubbish ever, if anything being in the EU made it worse. Anyway just looking at the sheer numbers pouring in through the bloc year after year shows the complete opposite of what you write.
"Kind of civil war", you what? Whose going to fight for the EU? Name those factions and the numbers they have. The recent election destroyed them for good.
As for the other EU states that remains to be seen, but trouble is already brewing do you realise that Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic have already breached EU law and refused to take in any refugees, leading them on a collision course with the European Court of Justice!
You asked the French about the UK? Yes, sure that will be accurate. Why don't you ask them about the never ending strikes there and their capital burning all the time.
As for the rest what's wrong with minorities fighting for their corner here? The young didn't vote because they were lazy then, they did however vote in the elections recently and do you know what, the conservative youth vote went up! The young in general couldn't even make a dent.
The rest if just tin hat conspiracies of not "trusting the results" don't forget to blame the Martians from War of The Worlds as well. We are the most mature democracy on this planet and the people have spoken.
The economy will go from strength to strength, oh and as for the EU grabbing us by the balls, yes ok mate. Read this;
Charles Michel, president of the European Council, said "a level playing field remains a must for any future relationship", meaning Brussels will push hard for close alignment in the trade talks.

Your EU is already wetting themselves at the thought of open competition and literally begging the UK for alignment of trading rules!
The Scots are going no where as proven by polls and how poor the economy is. They are stronger in the UK a union
THEY set-up.
