Correcting Indian Cinema so it may hate less

It has nothing to do with democracy. Nonsense has no political polarity.

You are up for art? Keep it to yourself within your country.. you extend your art to Pakistan, we will cut it to pieces to suite our likeness. Besides abusing is never known to be an art unless India wants to become first among rest.
exactly, thus I propose complete ban on Indian content.

Simple boycott wud suffice,,,,but thn again, can Pakistani bolly fans keep thmslvs away frm all the mirch masala.dont think so

What is your view of American Media depicting Pakistan in a similar way to Indian movies?

Should they be censored? When two of the most dominant film industries portray Pakistan's flirtation with extremists in a negative light, may be some introspection is needed or not.

A better option would be to depict these movies/tv shows as propaganda against Pakistan then conduct similar propaganda yourself, but Oh wait aren't you already doing that.

My insincere advice is to have fun and mock these movies for how silly they are instead of whining about it and providing them publicity but that would require serious maturity, security and confidence.

Regards

Pakistan has an excellent opportunity to kill anti-Pakistani germs in Indian cinema industry without spending a dime. Cinema is mass-media with ability to poison or correct people's perceptions on mass scale and within a short period of time. Thankfully, Phantom has flopped and rejected by Indian audience but a successful movie would have poisoned brains easily.

To correct and prevent negativity in Indian media, Pakistan can do following;
  • Black-list entire cast and crew of anti-Pakistan movies, including artists and technical leads. If any of them is part of a future Indian movie, it should be banned from screening in Pakistan.
  • Good Indian movies hoping to be screened in Pakistan movies must give a written declaration that none of the black listed cast was part of their movie and they also condemn anti-Pakistan movies.
  • Pakistan should give 50% tax leverage to non-hostile Indian movies for the next 3 years.
  • Should form a group of leading actors on both sides of the border and let them advocate positivity in media across the border. Actors like Naseer-ud-Din Shah and Nana Patikar would be good candidates.
Happy to hear your opinion and suggestions to improve that.
Do you think Indian Cinema Industry really lives off the profit it makes from Pakistan ? It has survived for decades based on profits it makes from India only. Now we have a global reach and that is only increasing. Indian movies get premiered all over the World, China, Japan, UK, US, African countries etc. There is a certain degree of advantage in case of Pakistan, which the language. But then, dubbing is also done. So, I don't think you are going to make an impact with that.

Also, there are a certain section of people in Pakistan who make a lot of profit by showing Indian movies and those are also the people who are usually in position of power, not people like you. They will not like it is their profits go down. :)

Did you get any chance to look at the American movies and TV series lately ? Hahaha You should....

No you missed my point by a postcode. What I am saying is simple and written, we can correct Indian negativity towards Pakistan by combination of penalty and reward. We have enough incentive to transform Indian cinema for better.

1. There will be some anti-Pakistani movies, you can't avoid that.
2. I'll suggest some joint productions, that will be an ice-breaker.

Compared to the brilliance oozing out every pore of Pakistani content as we have seen , it absolutely is...

Okay, your opinion is listed. I will remember you termed entire Indian media as a piece of $hit. I don't have this opinion.

1. There will be some anti-Pakistani movies, you can't avoid that.

You don't have to be moron because you have rational and justified probability to. When you go that, you receive punishment, when you behave, you get reward. Its not non-early tactic which is getting hard on Indian minds in this forum. I wonder if Indians think hating Pakistanis through such movies is good for them.

This is just going on in circles. I already explained in my previous post.

1. You don't have much to contribute to the profits to begin with. Why would people care ? Does it matter if you add a few thousands to the profit of someone who already makes billions ?

2. It is more profitable for the Pakistani business men instead, which is why they have a strong lobby to show Indian channels in Pakistani media. For them it is more profitable because their net profit is lower. If they make in millions, then a few thousands matter. This is again the same reason, for which we can afford to ban Pakistani movies which are not anti-Indian at all, but you are unable to do the same.

I am not disagreeing with the market share and the percentage of potential for Indian movies in India and Pakistan. However what Indian movies make in Pakistan is significant and can be made bigger for the deserving films using right tactics. Here is the list of indian movies that did good busines in Pakistan 8 Bollywood Movies That Rocked The Box Office Charts In Pakistan

There are several prongs of influence and power is the last one of those. If money charm is not helping, Pakistan can restrict its artists, musicians and singers not to participate in black listed movie or work with their teams for life. Again, you can argue its Pakistani singers interest to work in Indian movies but this will prohibit Indian producers who want to produce anti-Pakistan films. Thinking in business sense only, it would be in best interest of producers not to go anti-Pakistan in any of their content.

Objective is to correct hatred in India and mindless propaganda which can harm 1.5 billion people living in this area.

On Principle, do you disagree that propaganda and hatred between Nations is harmful for both India and Pakistan?

You need to have a substantial revenue generating market for Indian films in Pakistan for your 'plan' to be successful, and you don't have that. :)

Financial side is not the only element in our control but I realize what you are indicating towards and we can ban our cast and artists to participate in those film or work with their teams. I am also suggesting a leverage in tax on those films so they could improve on their financial gains in Pakistan.

On a side note, is your argument that Indian films should be hatred-ful by design because they have a bigger market in India? That will be unfortunate paradigm if this is the case.

Banning Pakistani artists from working in Indian films wiil hurt them, not the Indian film industry!

And what do you actually mean by 'hatred-full films'? I never came across any such film! Making films on historical events like the battle of Longewala or Kargil, or making films on the reality of terrorism is anything but hate mongering.
