Pakistan's Covid-19 cases cross 100,000 as Sindh reports 1,744 new infections


Pakistan's Covid-19 cases have crossed 100,000 as Sindh reported 1,744 new infections. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that 8,119 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours, out of which 1,744 came back positive, taking the provincial tally to 38,108.

The province has also reported 16 more deaths from the virus, taking its total fatalities to 650. Shah said that 414 patients are in critical condition while 67 are on ventilators.

The chief minister said that 577 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries in the province to 18,776.
 
Another worse day. About 4728 cases reported in a day. Death toll increases to 65. 890 people have recovered. 22650 tests done yesterday with 21% positive.

32 people died in Punjab, 16 in Sindh, 14 in KPK and 3 in Islamabad. No recovery in Punjab in 24 hours.

Balochistan govt allows to resume public transport

The provincial government has conditionally allowed to resume public transport in Balochistan after three months amid ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

According to details, the transporters have been directed to make sure that passengers sit with a gap of one seat whereas only three people have been allowed to travel on taxis.

Moreover, 18-point standard operating procedures (SOPs) have been issued for restoration of transport in the province.

On the other hand, coronavirus cases in Pakistan have passed one lac mark as 103,671 individuals have been affected by the pandemic. The country has confirmed 65 more deaths in one day and the nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 2,067. So far, 6,516 cases have been reported in Balochistan.

Sheikh Rasheed, Federal Minister for Railways has been tested positive for deadly COVID-19.

Sheikh Rasheed has isolated himself for 14 days.

Rasheed has held several press conferences and met dozens of people, including several trips to PM House. However, he reportedly always wore a mask and practiced social distancing.

This statement is not correct. If he had "always" practiced this ....... its hard to believe he still contracted the virus. There must have been carelessness and lapses on his part.
 
Worst Day For Pakistan!!!! More 4646 cases reported in a day. Death Toll reaches the highest one with more than 100 deaths in a day. Only 663 people recovered. Testing has increased to 24620 with positive ratio of 18.87%.
