Controlling Space Launch Technology Exports

I was been sacastic by saying that as US stop Russian from supplying Indian faulty components to study.... read my previous post, would ya.

mate, my friends dad was working for ISRO tat too in LPSC lab which developed cryogenic engine. when i was talking to him he said they started everything from scrap and tats the reason it took this long for the development of it. He lost his friend in a fire accident during the first trials of the engine along with 22 scientist. if they have used russian faulty components to develop why would this take this much time and such an accident??

I do not believe this is a cutting edge technology as US already had them back in the 1960s. I believe USSR had them in the 60s as well. China, Japan and France had them by the early 1980s. So this actually an almost 50 year old technology. This is equivalent of saying that thermonuclear technology is cutting edge back in the late 90s when US had one in early 50s and all the P5 had them within 20 years of when US had one.

I will try to explain it in a simpler way for u.The first ever true computer,ENIAC was made operational on July 29, 1947.That marked the start of the era of computers.But that does not mean we still use those vacuum tube based computers.Today im writing this piece of post using my new laptop that is based on an i3 processor,that runs the latest version of Ubuntu.U will not fail to notice(i hope),that technology has evolved by leaps and bounds.
Now that was just an analogy which will help u to understand(i wish).Space technology is one of those few areas which need lots of funds,lots of research and up-to-date technology.The space agencies generally follow the Spiral model of development,which happens to be a high-risk approach.u know why??Because agencies just cant afford doing mistakes here.When mistakes happen,it results in the loss of lots of money(around 335 crore in case of GSLV D3),or loss of precious lives (like Kalpana Chawla).
Henceforth,the only way to eliminate these mistakes is using up-to-date technology.So,be rest assured,the technology that was used in 60's has evolved a lot and it is not the same.
Well,now its time for an example......
Have a look at the various Cryogenic Rocket engines used by united States.Each one comes with improvements,making the whole operation more reliable and safer.

mmmm Is Cryogenic Rocket engines too advance of a component for India to manufacture? I'm not too much of space buff or defence industry. However, it amaze me that India is building a nuclear sub without any knowledge of building a conventional sub first. could this same scenario also exist in creating a cryogenic engine without taking a first. Such as walk first before flying.

mmmm...building a nuclear sub..that just confirms the technical prowess...u see development can sometimes take place by leaps and bounds.We will make sure that u keep getting amazed.

60-80%? And GSLV still had a booster which did not even ignite? The peformance of Russian rockets is proven. So... just how badly did the other 20-40% fail? Lol...

this id the first time the cryo has been tested........even us,japan failed in first tests,so r they inferior to the russians...........take a break leave us alone:hang2:
