The issue for Karachi is connected with PPP Sindh government and 18th amendment

Meaning of Amendment: A forced changed done in constitution by Senate to change laws done by PPP and PML

• According to it, Provincial Governments have the right to spend money in Provinces they control distribution

2019-2020 budget 7.5 Billion Dollar were given by Federall government (Pakistan) to Sindh
2019-2020 budget has a top up given to Karachi extra 1.5 Billion Dollar

These are huge sums not like 2-3 rupees

Despite of your nooni league tried its best to shift all the investment from Karachi to Punjab but Karachi is still the financial and commercial of the country. When will this myth die? Karachi actual contribution isn't more then it's GDP which is around 20% of Pakistan.

separation from pakistan means non involvement of federal govt which is completely diff scenario, as i already stated the census was engineered by the federal govt, and the elections were engineered by the establishment, and the motto of PTI since 2013 election in karachi was, the city was represented by a local party MQM and not national party like PTI, party like PTI with national reach can overturn the fortunes of the city, it should be noted that no where in the karachi election campaign the PPP's rule in sindh was discussed, so for PTI or the establishment, the situation of Karachi was unrelated to who formed government in the sindh province and hence it was implied that irrespective of who formed govt in the sindh province, a national level party like PTI winning elections from Karachi would result in improvement in Karachi situation.

So what i suspect is, Karachi becoming a province would be inconsequential if it has to deal with the federal bodies who may not want to see karachi developed and improved, and the PMLN's example of shifting federal institutions from karachi, construction of dry ports in punjab, refusing to allow construction of KCR, refusing to allow construction of K-3 and K-4 water supply projects which had federal stakes for a long time, engineering census and elections, selecting ''national party'' like PTI and yet being unable to deliver are just few among many examples of how Karachi even as a province may face obstacles with the federation.

If drastic measures were taken by federal govt to give powers to rangers and initiate karachi operation which was opposed by PPP, with PTI holding major stakes in the city now, fail to understand how PTI cannot deliver in Karachi and accuses PPP for all the wrong doings, for karachi operation MQM MNA consensus was needed, but now since PTI is at the helm of affairs now in both national and city of karachi, dont really think PTI faces any PPP obstacle to implement its agenda in karachi. PTI clearly has a lack of will and lack of good intention towards city of karachi otherwise there is no political or beureaucratic obstacle.

Calm down bro. By the way I agree. I started this thread (later merged with on older thread); however, it was never meant to create a fight.

I would like to request all that they should acknowledge that Karachi is commercial and financial hub of the country and people of Karachi are contributing factor in making Karachi a financial and commercial hub. However, this is in no way a favor to other cities but our gift, responsibility and honor to do this role for rest of our brothers and sisters.

On the same time I would expect my brothers and sister that they should understand the challenges we face in our daily life specially for the absence of basic necessities like tap water, drinking water, mass transportation system, road infrastructure, security system, police being the biggest decoit of the city, provincial and federal government department rarely have any locals from the city. I understand that this is a gift to us from PPP, MQM and ANP. But we expect common people of Pakistan to be on our side rather than blaming us.

Altough I hate MQM, but in the language based regional politics from 80s till last year, what option a middle class or poor Mahajir had other than to vote for MQM where PPP and PMLN were hell bent open giving jobs to people from other part of Pakistan but Karachi. The only option for those people were to elect MQM so that atleast they can have job in local government institute like KMC. However, Karachi people should also be given the credit of rejecting this regional politics and voting for PTI despite of the fact that PTI has zero political structure in Karachi.

All in all, Karachi is a victim of being the financial hub where elites of the country (not the common people of Pakistan) want to grab a piece of the pie but don't want to give benefit back to the people of karachi who are suffering from a highly stressful life in terms of security threat, tough corporate robotic life, basic health and cleaning problems, water issues, pollution and many more.

I want all Pakistanies to realize the problem we are going through and be our voice. United we stand alone we fall.
