Well they are just looking on Figures they are granting.............but not looking on expenses and casualities which Pak Army met during this so called war on terror............if you see the ground reality the expenses which military daily spending on this war in FATA and Tribal area of Pakistan...then this aid is nothinng..........

i dont think..zardari or gilani can stand in front of army generals...certainly army has some agreement with usa,but common ppl wants answers from civil govt...

i am trying to say that the money that US gives us....majority of it does not reach the massess....only about 20%...the rest is eaten up by corruption!!

it would have onlyl been a matter of time that they had turned against pakistan. 2003 or no 2003, america or no america didnt make much difference in the long term. secondly, by saying that it wasnt your war until 2003, you are contradicting yourselves hugely.

All the Pakistanis here saying that they are fighting the WoT not for themselves, but for the US, badly need to read some history:

It was none other than Pakistan that proactively employed its Mullahs and ultra-Islamic organizations to breed and groom the most radical of jihadi fighters for the US's wars in Afghanistan, and the Balkans, and even Chechnya!

Those highly radical and extreme jihadi fighters were not robots that could be just 'unplugged' after serving their purpose. They decided to 'further' their cause much beyond the desire of Pakistan and the US.

When those active jihadis (including the Talibans, call them good or bad) became problem for the US, by default they became even a bigger problem for Pakistan.

My Pakistani friends, this WoT is more a need of Pakistan than of any other country. If it is abandoned, it will be a little problem for the US, but then it will turn entire Pakistan into a modernized Taliban state, with the Salwar Kameez clad bearded Mullahs ordering around the uniform clad clean shaven Pakistani Army!

Anyone visiting this forum can observe that in general, the Pakistanis gladly endorse all wrongs when attached with religion. With WoT no more, the Taliban will quietly infest your society (as it has tried many times in the past), and no matter what wrong they introduce you to, you will not question them because they will attach all actions to Islam (if sounds better - their version of Islam).

the US pressurised pakistan to do this......

one more thing...i cant say alot about chechnyan or bosnian history by sitting here in pakistan....similarly you cannot have the facts for real unless you are a pakistani....you will agree with whatever the BBC or CNN tells you.....come here for one year and you will know the truth reality.

i think the US govt knows much more than the senators....and there is a much bigger plot on OBl than meets the eye....if congress lowers its aid or withdraws support....we lower our commitment to WoT....in the end ...the US will suffer much more..

Wrong analysis. US can also control your exports, so.. if the US was angered enough to stop aid what makes you think they cannot stop your trade between countries that fall into its sphere of influence? Any such action, for however short a period of time will have devastating effects on your country. Taking into account the already pathetic state of your economy it wouldn't take long for your country to collapse and come back to the US to re-consider.
