Nawaz was as big of a liability then as he was now. He was a misfired missile then as he is now.

The ills around which he and likes of him have evolved and revolved created tons of problems for the country; I cannot think of one positive development for Pakistan that his artificial birth created.

Every institution and pillar has weakened ever since his birth; be it enhanced division of the country on caste, creed, ethnicity, religion, widening of gap between haves and have nots, destruction of socio economic fabric, societal acceptance of ills like; extra judicial killings, corruption has seeped deep down and once upon a time classified wrongs are now considered attributes of glorified segment of haves - price will be paid by at least another generation or two even if corrective action starts now.

When the Dharnas of 2014 happened, I was dead against toppling the govt through such means. And that too, with the help of a Mullah like Tahir ul Qadri. If the NS govt was toppled then, then it would set an extremely dangerous precedent. I thought Pakistan managed to avoid setting the precedent but then came the latest round of Mullahs--the so-called Labbek Mullahs--doing the same in the Faizabad area of Islamabad. Have you seen the Mullah Rizvi's interviews? I saw briefly interviewed for the 'Mahaz' tv series--the Mullah is a Mad Mullah!!

No matter how much you hate the PMLN govt--NEVER support Mullahs! Never! And a shame to those parties who are trying to topple this govt less than a year from the completion of its term. Shame to those who are turning the Panama Gate into a route to toppling this govt.

Pakistan has already lost some of its economic gains because of the P. Gate. Let this govt complete its term and let the voters decide. Flocking around lunatic Mullahs won't help Pakistan. And, in this vein, especially shame on Zardari and Mustafa Kamal to go to this deranged Tahir ul Qadri.

And, lastly, before you judge, I was/am planning to vote and ask my family to vote for Imran Khan in 2018--let there be fresh blood.

Zia-ul-Haq era is known for religious extremism and carrying out many tasks under religious umbrella. It caused great loss to state like sectarian wars, intolerance, interference in every matter of life from religious leaders.

Today, it is happening again as all religious forces are joining hands to topple PML-N government. PTI, PML-Q and PPP are backing them but will it stop here? answer is NO.
We haven't learnt lesson from Afghan war. We used Mujahids against USSR and those talibans started burning our land. So if we are clapping for the Rizvi's act, then we should brace ourselves for extremism and religious bloodshed like Iran and Afghanistan which were liberal states but Mullah destroyed them. I think jinnie is out of bottle and Fatwa's, blasphemy label and other religious violations will be labeled to anyone and he will be killed as "KAAFIR"

There is emphatically no differant category of Muslims. Like Muslim A, Muslim B, Muslim C. Skin colour, race, height or other worldly attributes are not considered. In sight of Allah Almighty you are a Muslim period.

Keeping this in mind on 14th August 1947 if Pakistan was indeed created for Muslims, repeat Muslims then any Muslim from any place on Allah's earth could have applied to and recieved Pakistani citizenship. As a test case we have another state created for Jews. It touts itself as a "Jewish state". However it accepts any Jew from any country on earth. African Jews from Ethopia were airlifted under "Operation Moses" to Israel. The only criterion was they were "Jews". That entitled them to be brought to Israel.

Now tell me has Pakistan ever allowed unfettered entry and citizenship to Muslims? If it has why have the Afghans in Pakistan after 30 years still not got Pakistani citizenships? Are they not Muslims? Was Pakistan for Muslims but only one type of Muslim? If so how does that square with the Quran and can we please give up the nonsense about "Muslims" please. Let's have some honesty around here.

Your statement stands correct but Afghan refugees came in soviet occupation but in the time Pakistan was created millions were accepted from India as Muslim refugees and were given land and property in Pakistan. They were given immediate voting rights in Pakistan. People as far Calcutta came here and were given Pakistani nationality. In time of Afghan refugees it was Bhutto and Zia who were decision makers not the founders of Pakistan. When Pakistan was created Afghanistan didn't accepted Pakistan as a nation. Pakistan accepted all Muslims that came to Pakistan gave the nationality and property to start lives in 1947. I can show you not only nationalities but agricultural lands being allotted to those refugees of 1947. It became a different country after that, when foreign influence began to pour in. The roots of Pakistan are not bad.
