yes, radar will be klj-7 with some modifications and increased range ~120-130 km

The Thunder wikll have a New Challenge because the LCA TEJAS has arrived too now

4 years after the Thunder the indian fighter has some catching up to do in nos and maturity.

Will be very interesting how both projects develope.

JF-17 first squadron was completed in early 2010. Tejas first squadron won't be ready till late 2015 at the earliest. By then, JF-17 Block 2 would be introduced. Tejas still lacks DSI and MAWS, standard on JF-17 Block 1. JF-17 Block 2, which is in serial production, introduces AESA, IRST, wide angle holographic HUD.

I think its the 50th JF-17 which PAC produced or its combined like the 8 JF-17s we received and 42 produced.

As 8 pre-production aircraft should be used for testing and evaluation rather than a fleet aircraft...
