Yes! You know the Koushi-Byo (Confucian Temple) that was built in Nagasaki was built by Chinese immigrants in Japan back in 1893. The funds to build it were given by the Qing Dynasty, interestingly enough !

Btw, added information is that the temple was damaged by the Atom Bomb that hit Nagasaki in 1945, but the main altar that had housed the icon of Koushi Sensei was not destroyed. The original icon of the Koushi Sensei remains there. It is a very popular temple in Nagasaki, and many Japanese go there for spiritual contemplation.

We Japanese do cherish and honor the memory of Koushi Sensei,

I think that despite differences, we should focus on appreciating the impact of Koushi Sensei had on Northeast Asian civilization. His imprint is unquestionable. May his wisdom always be ushered on all Northeast Asian civilizations from generation to unending generations...

I actually really respect him.

Chinese people suppose to be very cultured and highly discipline.

The matter of cloth and proper ceremony are very importance.

Everyone who are Confucian disciple know about it.


The way these people wear Hanfu seems to be wrong and missed something.

This matter should be discussed right now, so next year will be better and perfect.

in china,even the ancestors have temples,he is a teacher but also become a god in some way. Most of Chinese does not believe in god in history, we just believe in great figures and ancestors

Chinese people are also respecting their ancestors and heroes. All things in the temple are not just gods and Buddhas.

Chinese people have different mythology than Middle Eastern. We believe in reincarnation, and our gods in heaven were once living ordinary Chinese. But they were doing good and heroic thing, when they die, they go to heaven and became gods. Like they did as human, when they became gods, they never forget and still do good thing to us. That is why many Chinese people seek them for guidance, help and protection.


But Kongzi, when he die, he didn't became a god. But we still respect him because of his teaching and huge contribution to Chinese civilization. Chinese people are respecting many heroes other than Kongzi too.

In thai chinese, some of them have 祠堂 for the ancestors. My relatives in china said their 祠堂 were destroyed during culture revolution but now they have rebuilt祠堂 for ancestors. Chinese people have a festival-qingming festival to memorize the ancetors(it's leagal holiday in mainland /HK and taiwan)
