No spin.. pure political observation. Reactionary parties grow when the perception is that they are being unfairly cornered . If the plan is to ban MQM, it should be done as soon as possible. Timing of disclosures is important. Looks like a very good plan to nail Altaf Hussein while letting MQM survive under a new leadership. Unless a similar operation is undertaken in Punjab, Karachi will keep simmering and that will not be done by "India".. It will be once again fault of Nawaz-military combo.

Exactly.. Plan seems to get rid of current leadership and counter attack India... Will be interesting to see how far is england willing to take this.. Story in itself is enough to cause serious problems to MQM. However with elections still some time away, they will have enough time to spin the narrative. Proving all these allegations in court may prove trickier and that is the lifeline which MQM will be looking for. If allegations are not proved in court, MQM will again play race card.

As much as India is concerned, it depends on UK's willingness to pursue this matter. I am not sure if anything against India can be proved, but if UK authorities decides to thoroughly investigate Indian links with MQM, there may be some chilling effects on Modi's plans for UK. Lets see if Cameron can afford that.
