What's new

Computer experts?

I looked at your specific laptop model and it is freaking easy to access it's RAM. give cleaning or moving the RAM a try first before trying anything else.
Just a reference video to access RAM
ok it did flip open that easily let me get a vacuum or something....I am excited got something new to explore!! Thanks

Damn its soo dusty where the hell has this thing been!

yo i have a question regarding this video...whats that box with wires on the upper right corner...mine is different from this window and it actually has the wire taped on that area rather than attached...is that normal?

Ok I thought you got a blue screen error today, so currently screen is blank with no blue color background and white texts, its all black?
yup all black!

. . .
2 different problems

1) stupid cheap institute problem has a thousand euro worth of softwares i need...
2) I want a new tablet or something and am not sure what I want :(
hmm, if the screen won't turn on its probably a bigger problem than the average person can handle but try and blow the dust out from the vents (use compressed air or a blower of some sort, do not vacuum)

as timetraveler asked, are there any beeps.. what is the sequence ? (4 quick beeps, 3 long beeps, 2 beeps and then a third long one) etc ?

laptops are a real bitch sometimes, desktops are so much easier to troubleshoot and fix yourself

but if your have thousands of $ worth of software in there (and I'm guessing that includes project files and work, and that you don't have backups for either the software or your work ?)

you'd best take it to a shop, worst case scenario you can just have them transfer the data from your HDD to another because this doesn't sound like a HDD issue, maybe a broken power supply or faulty ram or something.

good luck, hope you figure it out with not too much of a loss either way !

Uncle! Its institute property! Computer is worthless prob wont go for even 500 euros but my research in it plus thousand euro software might get me a law suit!
So you’re not getting a blue screen? If it’s a black screen then it's most likely a hardware problem and if I had to guess your hard drive is fine just take it out and ask someone a bit more knowledgeable to back it up for you.

Ok so here is what you can do the best
1- try to insert a bootable CD see If any thing happens
2- can you see any text or image there
i think before booting to operating system, it should show some kind of brand name, like HP etc, so can you see that or all blank from the begining?
3- if all blank from the begining then motherboard has damaged
4- don't do any misadventure there, lol, take it to a service center, they will fix it.
Possible causes for this
1-dust and heat
2-any kind of connection has lost there between RAM and Motherboard and processor.

well what i have learned in Past three years in engineering :woot: ...If your computer give a 1 beep its - video card
if 2 to 3 beeps - RAM if it beeps continuously - it the processor long beep when u turn it on and screen goes black ..if it gives short beep it can be a problem of HD...! Remove the RAM and check if it is giving beep then its not Motherboard problem its bcz of Graphics or may be LCD issue...!

If only the data is important to you, then take hdd and make a back up or fix it any other working lappy or make it an external drive :-)

Try starting it in safemode. Keep pressing F8 when it starts then select the safemode option. In safe mode the computer starts with minimum files and drivers needed for the computer to start. If it starts then that means that there are no hardware problems.

Worst case is you reinstall windows 7 onto the laptop. The down side to this is that you lose all of your data ,unless you have a backup of some sorts all of your info is gone.

In general always have an updated antivirus on your computer and have adblock in your browser. Regularly run certain windows programs like disk cleanup, disk defragmenter. Doing these basic things will prevent many computer issues in general.

Frankly I am not too sure. I cannot make it from the video, it is probably the wireless card, nothing that you should be really concerned about.
For cleaning I prefer brushing, If you are going to vacuum it try and stay away from the fan, vacuum cleaner can harm it.

No speakers needed..Motherboard itself gives beep...If u can, check by plugging any external LCD or in ur uni Plug in Projector..if the projector gives u desktop then the problem is either with ur LCD or Video card...
