Pakistan's GDP is approximately the same as Oregon's. Australia has the GDP of New York state.

Russia's GDP is that of the state of Texas, Netherlands that of Florida, and Italy that of California's...Really impressive figures.

Actually Thailand appears three times, in Colorado, Minnesota, and over Indiana.

I think the reasoning for this maybe because they couldn't find any other countries that match the same GDP of these three states and Thailand suited three US states.

This is why countries like UK and France aren't on the list their GDPs are too high for a single US state to match with.
