There has been a new trend in many if not all UK universities and colleges after their Budget have been cut and Stringent laws have been made for foreign students.
Universities have been purposely failing some foreign students and then ask UK immigration agency to cancel their visas.
The catch is that the college or University gets to keep the poor student's whole semester fees, which they have already paid in advance, and in next term they admit new students on the same vacant seat. That way they earn more money.
I have seen two similar cases.
In one case an Indian Law student doing PHD was asked to leave the country within 28 days by UK Immigration agency. The poor woman had paid 20,000 GBP for 3 year PHD program.
When she submitted her first assignment, the University
told her that she isn't up to the par with their academic requirements and should leave the course.
It was a simple case of a student submitting first paper of the semester and not writing it up to the required level. In all cases a resit is given. But here the University simply rang up Uk immigration department who cancelled her visa which was valid until 2016,and asked her to leave within 28 days.
No chance of appeal,or legal proceedings was given to her.
Now the university is 20,000 pounds better off and the Indian woman is back in India with nothing.
There have been many similar cases in recent months where well known British universities and colleges simply conspire with UK immigration to deport the student on various reasons and refuse to refund their fees.
So if you are planning to come to UK,keep this in mind that you may be deported if at any time and University or college has the ultimate say.
