Coming to Islamabad after 23 years

I have family in Islamabad, but I still never visit that god awful place. So I don't know. It doesn't feel like Pakistan for me as a person from South Punjab.

.
You are equating an inanimate thing to life?
Person wanting cupcake=you
cupcake=goal
Good for her, 1 woman in a population of 200 million...esp 1 where her family never had to see a cousin get blown up isnt good enough example as I said all cousins are not allowed to go alone....
If she can others also can if they want to (do they really want to?)
It is her lifestyle choice..Have you talked to her, is she happy with her choice? Would she advice such a step by the next generation?
Well the age difference prevents me for asking such questions it feels weird she seems happier than other women her age and is more outgoing
Admiring someone based on difference is just admiring diversity but still not addressing the issue....
Um addressing the issue is giving a go ahead and making society remove all restrictions
Just wear a burqa or dress up and put a niqab and go around let all the guys undress you with their eyes, let the men say garbage and stare like they have never seen a woman, let them find reasons to touch you....Then live like that for few years and tell me how it feels...Grow up in that and watch restrictions descend upon you when you have become a "grown woman" from a kid who could play with any gender freely....
There is a hint of paranoia in your comment if you are just going to stop living thinking what others are thinking about you well you cant go anywhere in life if that is how you see life
That is for each to decide...I am always for women going on such tours :enjoy:
You carve your way in society and move forward not giving a damn about what others think if you wait for others to amend their ways before moving forward you will die at the same spot you started

Bass karo sanghio
Tu chup kar masi musibatey :D

If life was a cupcake goal life would be easier!

But even making a fancy cupcake is not easy!

If she can others also can if they want to (do they really want to?)
Depends on individuals...Women are not sheep that you look at 1 and you know what all of them want...Each is raised differently, each thinks differently and each has her own personality!

Well the age difference prevents me for asking such questions it feels weird she seems happier than other women her age and is more outgoing
Well, since you dont ask you dont know, when you dont know you dont really have a case!

Um addressing the issue is giving a go ahead and making society remove all restrictions
You wouldnt want that...Even ALLAH put restrictions on us to make us human...Look at the European model tearing down all boundaries isnt all great!

If there is restrictions it should be for both genders! If there are restrictions on 1 that is naa insafi!

I believe there should be restrictions it teaches the child to know their boundaries and that everything has a limit!

There is a hint of paranoia in your comment if you are just going to stop living thinking what others are thinking about you well you cant go anywhere in life if that is how you see life
No one is doing that..I am trying to make you see from a woman's POV that cant be done until and unless you are a woman so I say try it...I would have suggested hormonal therapy but that is just me... But try walking a mile in a woman's shoes! If you cant then check out videos where some did - There are videos men tried on corsets (things society made women wear in the past), videos of men trying to be pregnant for a day or endure labour pains and many others!

Men in the west are experimenting with such ideas and understanding to a certain extend women are different and appreciating the differences! Not limiting it or restricting it....

You carve your way in society and move forward not giving a damn about what others think if you wait for others to amend their ways before moving forward you will die at the same spot you started
Words are easy to transfer...Again I suggest being a woman for a day ....if you cant walk a mile in woman's shoes, you dont really have the right to talk ignorantly about the issue at hand!

. .
Depends on individuals.
On the drive and courage if you fail despite opportunities dont blame others
Women are not sheep that you look at 1 and you know what all of them want
If they want something they should get it if they dont they should blame themselves only
You wouldnt want that...Even ALLAH put restrictions on us to make us human...Look at the European model tearing down all boundaries isnt all great!
Trust me i would kill to have the European model here where people mind their own god damn businesses when it comes to private life and religion
.I would have suggested hormonal therapy but that is just me
That will really mess up my mojo i like my bits the way they are :-//
No one is doing that..I am trying to make you see from a woman's POV that cant be done until and unless you are a woman so I say try it.
The argument is going around in circles you refuse to move until the problem is gone and my suggestion is moving over the obstacle
If there is restrictions it should be for both genders! If there are restrictions on 1 that is naa insafi!
After they get a job all restrictions are self imposed
I believe there should be restrictions it teaches the child to know their boundaries and that everything has a limit!
Totally agree on that teach your kids boundaries and how to overcome obstacles and not give a damn about what others think
videos of men trying to be pregnant for a day or endure labour pains and many others!
Tell that to someone who is interested in having kids
Words are easy to transfer
Self imposed restrictions arent really restrictions :D
Men in the west are experimenting with such ideas and understanding to a certain extend women are different and appreciating the differences! Not limiting it or restricting it....
You may also know how women in west fought for their rights and moved forward despite the hurdles they faced from government, society and religious institutions if Pakistani women want to have that freedom they should be willing to walk the walk

Is there a law that prevents women from getting a job? No
Is there a law that prevents women from living on their own?No
Is there a law that prevents women from travelling alone? No
Is there a law that prevents women from perusing career of their choice? No

State removes barriers people take advantage of that

.
On the drive and courage if you fail despite opportunities dont blame others
There is always more than 1 factor controlling every environment....It is not about blaming others ESP if you are blind to the problem!

Raising an issue :society has a problem is not blaming others...If that is your limited mindset I say good bye as the rest of the jargon is expected

Ok guys, so I am coming to Islamabad on 2nd of December , I have my Interview scheduled in USA Embassy( not on 2nd December ) . It will be hardly a few hour thing , and than i will be all free so I am thinking about spending some time in Islamabad and the surrounding Areas . I am not sure about going to Naran and Kagan which is in my consideration but I'm a bit tight on Money right now so most likely can't afford to go there, So members who live in Islamabad or surrounding can tell me places to visit , Like i know about Margalla Hills , Shah faisal Mosque , Pakistan Monument etc , I am traveling to Islamabad after 23 years last time it was in 1995 when i was just 4 years old , so i hardly remember anything .
I do heard that there are some beautiful places near Punjab which worth visiting , if someone can help me with direction and names i would be glad .

Please tag people who live in Islamabad or live close by .

Good Luck in your interview!

I have a feeling the rest of your visit will go very well, or very bad, no matter what you do or wherever you go, depending on the outcome of the interview. :D
