Beta, you have no idea about what the Pakistan Population (in general) believes, let along the Armed Forces personnel, vis-a-vis Hind. Cold Start was a Doctrine that was already in place in the early 2000's, Cold Start cut down mass deployment times down to 48hrs and at that time we had 3 strike corps and 10 holding corps for defensive roles. The old doctrine also envisaged rapid armor thrusts but didn't cater much for net centric warfare.

When Gen V.K Singh came into power, a newer, far deadlier and flexible doctrine was put in place, this also shortened deployment time to less than 6 hrs. More so, the 10 holding corps were converted into 'Pivot corps' which allow them to play flexible defensive or offensive corps. The new doctrine also ended up pushing for raising an additional mountain strike corp. Now essentially an entire Strike Corp with significant firepower can be unleashed from the word go while many Pivot corps can be activated in less than 24 hrs.

Every war carries with it various expendable resources, weapons, ammo, troops, currency, platforms etc. History has shown that we have never started any of the wars with Pak and Pak has lost all wars it has fought with India. This doesn't mean Pak lost all battles fought during the course of a war, some battles Pak won, some battles India lost (this again is the nature of every war). Pak isn't capable of fighting a sustained conflict. Time and time again, India has proven it is ready to keep going as long as it takes with Pak essentially chosing the nature of escalation.

On any given day, India has more weapons, more troops, currency, platforms etc than Pak and if training is taken as being equal, then Pak is always on the loosing end. India will always one up Pak because even though Pak considers India to be existential threat, India doesn't feel the same way about Pak. India is gearing itself more towards China, which is considers a potential grave threat. India also gears itself towards a multi front war being fought against the two allies Pak and China, though to actually think China will back Pak all the way during any war is rather naive on the part of Pak.

The last two times China messed with India during the Cho-La and Nathu-la incidents it was left with a bloody nose.

You don't need a formal surrender to make this happen. Saddam and Gaddafi weren't around to sign surrender agreements. In fact, the Pakistani civilians themselves will string up their generals to stop the fighting. Mussolini anyone?

Pakistan isn't Iraq where the Sunnis fought the US forces. Pakistan has far too much internal turmoil. Plus, India isn't the US, we can park a million men in Pak as an occupying force. And Pak no longer has a neighbour that will help initiate an insurgency, like how Iraq had Syria's ISIS strongholds and external support. China ain't coming to Pak's rescue.

But the above is possible only if there's a full scale war. The Cold Start doctrine isn't meant to force Pak to surrender. It is meant to seek major concessions from Pakistan after a ceasefire is declared and peace negotiations start.
