it is the important visit of Gen Bajwa and IK to discuss the Afghanistan peace process & India Investment future, Kashmir issue, CPEC 2nd & 3rd Phase and how to provide securities on these projects before Xi Jinping visit to India. China, Russia, Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan is emerging as a key player in a region. India is history now in the region player. Thank you, Mr. Modi, Kashmir issue was dead for us but you put the life back on almost forgotten dispute.

Foremost reason is asking for help in FATF to avoid blacklisting. If that happens, all dreams of FDI, CPEC, further loans, remittances etc will be severely impacted and will push Pakistan further into bankruptcy.

On Kashmir, I don't think China can do much, neither can Pakistan. It's a wait and watch game now. Wait for you time if it comes.

On Xi's visit to India, china may raise K issue but will be cautious not to harm it's trade with India....China is already reeling with slowdown in the wake of China-US trade war.

On China, "Russia, Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan is emerging as a key player in a region", since when Turkey is in the region? Key players are defined by circumstances and assisted by it's cultural influence and economic power. I don't think Pakistan is there yet. Except for Afghanistan what other card does it hold?

From what I have heard, big deals are in the works, especially for the Navy and Airforce.

On the civilian side, next stage of CPEC, including manufacturing, infrastructure and agricultural and other tech.

What kind of big deals?? Are we getting J-20 or ACC or N- Sub??

To premature to speculate, but mark my words the strategic relationship is getting ramped up.

PM, COAS to meet Chinese leadership on Oct 8-9: FO

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa will visit China from October 8 to 9, 2019 and hold meetings with the Chinese leadership, including President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang.

A number of agreements/MoUs are expected to be signed at a ceremony to be witnessed by the two prime ministers, a foreign office statement issued here on Monday said.

President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang will separately host banquets in honour of the Prime Minister Khan, said the statement.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will be accompanied by a high-level delegation including the foreign minister, minister for railways, minister for planning, development and reform, adviser to prime minister on commerce, special assistant to prime minister on petroleum, Board of Investment (BOI) chairman and senior officials.

The Chief of Army Staff will join the prime minister’s meetings with Premier Li Keqiang and President Xi Jinping, the statement mentioned.

The visit of the prime minister was in continuation of the long-established tradition of the leadership of the two countries meeting regularly and consulting closely on bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The prime minister will exchange views on regional developments including the state of peace and security in South Asia arising from the situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir since August 5, it added.

The visit will be instrumental in further cementing Pakistan’s economic, investment and strategic ties with China.

Among other things, the prime minister will apprise the Chinese leadership of the government’s recent landmark decisions to speed-up implementation of the ongoing CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor).

According to a foreign office statement, there will be interaction with senior representatives of the Chinese business and corporate sector as well for deepening bilateral trade, commercial and investment partnership.

The prime minister will also be participating in the closing ceremony of the Beijing International Horticulture Expo, as a chief guest, where Chinese PM Li Keqiang will be the host.

@Adonis US is stuck in Afghanistan and Syria. They want to get out as soon as possible with little life loss. They will do anything and will support anyone. They are in trouble. If they want to keep peace in Afghanistan and keep their failure hidden Pakistan has say. Let suppose once they are gone and Pakistan is moved to Russian China Block. US will be useless in this region with Iran issue on burner. Politics is a dirty mess and anything can happen.
Pakistan is not ordinary country my friend its a nuclear country and most of the policies of other countries are made in a different way for Pakistan.

don't hide yourself as Aussie ,This is just Indian propaganda, The factual evidence, both historic and current, suggests that these assertions are simply incorrect. Pakistan was on the FATF grey-list from 2012 to 2015, a period during which it successfully completed an IMF program and raised over $5 billion from the international bond markets. During this period Pakistan’s imports and exports remained stable, evidence that the grey-listing did not raise any significant barriers to trade.Pakistan has survived previous rounds of international pressure and there is scant evidence that the strategic calculus of Pakistan’s security establishment is shifting this time around. You better worry about the Indian economy where your GDP is -2.5 but fake media under Modi Govt claiming 5% GDP and there's no way to survive.
As far as China Trade with India, I think all Indian make mistake here and you don't understand the Chinese thinking, better try to understand them first. Look how china destroying your local markets ;-) factory is in Kalakat, on paper, it is showing boosting the economy and hired 2000 employee but actually, all the material is coming from china and your fake media claiming 5% GDP growth on nothing. Do you think Ikea in Mumbai boosts the economy of the local market or it will destroy it? question of a day for you.

COAS Bajwa visits PLA headquarters, discusses regional security and IOJK

BEIJING: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Sunday visited People’s Liberation Army (PLA) headquarters and met the top brass of the Chinese military during his ongoing visit, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

The ISPR spokesperson said that the Army Chief visited PLA headquarters today and held separate meetings with the PLA commander and the vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission.

During the meeting, COAS Bajwa discussed the current situation of the Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK) and matters relating to regional security. The Army Chief apprised the Chinese military leadership regarding the ongoing atrocities in IOJK.

General Bajwa urged Indian authorities to respect the resolutions of the United Nations (UN) for Kashmir dispute besides ensuring the security of human rights of Kashmiris.

The Chinese military leadership expressed complete support to Pakistan’s stance on principle for Kashmir. They said that the gesture of Islamabad in the tensed situation is in the interest of peace.

The Army Chief reiterated that Pakistan desires regional peace but there would be no compromise to be made on honour and dignity of the country.

The spokesperson added that the Army Chief has also discussed Pakistan’s efforts for the establishment of peace in neighbouring Afghanistan.


Moreover, the military top brass from both sides agreed to further enhance defence cooperation.

Earlier on Monday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa had arrived in China on an official visit, ISPR reported.

The Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Major General Asif Ghafoor in a tweet said, “COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa arrived in China today (Monday) on an official visit.”

The statement said that the Army Chief will meet Chinese military leadership including PLA Army Commander, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission and Commander Southern Theater Command.

If Pakistan is expecting a Conflict with India, than my bet is that PA is looking for Low/Med Altitude Radars , SPH(?) , SHORAD's (?) , more SD-10/PL-15's .. as Rafi said, on naval side I would expect more Anti-Ship missiles or extended ranges for existing ones.

China, Pakistan agree to enhance defence cooperation

BEIJING: The Chinese military leadership on Tuesday supported the stance of Pakistan on the outstanding occupied Kashmir dispute with India, according to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The affirmation was made when Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa met General Han Weiguo and General Xu Qiliang of the People’s Liberation Army in Beijing. Issues of regional security and defence cooperation were discussed in the meeting.

According to the ISPR, the COAS apprised the Chinese military leadership about consequences of the ongoing situation in Indian-occupied Kashmir, and said that India needed to respect United Nations resolution in this regard and ensure provision of human rights to Kashmiris.

"Chinese military leadership supported Pakistan’s principled stance on Kashmir issue, and appreciated sane Pakistani approach in the interest of peace," the press release stated.

ISPR also said that in the meeting, the two sides agreed that continued Pak-India tension would have serious implications for peace and stability in the region.

The media wing of the military also told the media that the COAS apprised the Chinese military leadership about the peace efforts made by Pakistan, and said that the efforts would not be at the cost of any compromise on principles or honour and dignity of the nation.

Both sides also discussed the developing situation in the Gulf and efforts for peace in Afghanistan, the press release stated. They also agreed to enhance existing defence cooperation in line with history of mutual time-tested relationship.

Earlier, upon arrival at the PLA headquarters, the COAS was presented with a guard of honour.

pak is not expecting any conflict with india but procurement of military equipment will be discussed as china is our only reliable source of military hardware.

If Pak/PAF is looking at J-10CE on this trip then it likely will imply the end of F-16s purchases ( new / used ) due to T&C presented to Pak/PAF for new birds, just my opinion.
