What's new

COAS arrives in Germany, meets counterpart

apparently theyres word of them talking about a potentail deal in this case of the coas in germany its just a meet and greet visit the french dropped out of the ft2000 so now its the eft with the uk germany italy and spain as the partners. the uk is the largest partner only by a hairline yet we ordered way more than germany.

Idk but Pakistan has been increasing cooperation with Italy lately as per pdf :), and I guess they don't any problems with UK or Germany either so perhaps there can be a deal between EFT-consortium and Pakistan. Though expensive but it will allay woes of their airforce.

Wants to confirm something, Many people on this thread talking about Typhoon which i know as per my best knowledge would be the most x 100000000 problematic procurement ever you people face as i read on different forums all the partners in this project if agrees then typhoon would be sold and sorry to say many would object because of Pakistan's involvement (accusation by India) in terrorism and existing hardliners in the Country.

What you say about this.
There is no interest or wish to buy the Typhoon. The issue has less to do with terrorism, more to do with meeting EU anti-corruption standards in kickbacks and bribes.

. .
But your countrymen posting about it that is why i ask.

So what is the actual list probably used F16 and more FC 1 / JF 17?

My countrymen post a lot of things I dont agree with.

The Pakistan airforce will operate 80 F-16's, 150 JF-17s and 55 F-7PG's till 2025-2030 when it is expected that a 5th generation project will be inducted to replace and F-7PG number and then add some more.

Pakistan is trying for more F-16 from Jordan and other countries. Talks with Russia for SU-35 are on and PAF chief will soon visit Russia. As for Euro Fighter well 2nd hand Euro Fighter Trenche 1 can come because all three countries are looking to sell them.

@Oscar
Dear as per my best info the nations ho are producing or taking part in this project eagerly waiting to complete their inductions of typhoon already delayed over priced due to delay and many of them shown no interest in 5th Gen fighter at all.
There is only a little chance that you could get new typhoons but i highly doubt your economy allows you plus many other constraints.

Keep dreaming may helps in your constipation in this regard.
Germany has already stopped inductions and UK is also rethinking its entire defence projects specially EuroFighter and Italy also not so happy with this Jet.

Ok, sure.
Off course Sir Air Chief is going to visit Russia soon. I also didn't believed this until one man who has friends in PAF confirmed this. Apperantly two or three guys are playing role of middleman

What a s***y beast this is :D

Really? 6 bombs and 4 AAMs? Mind you, other planes add fuel tanks, you know!
Check the range of that marvel in this configuration, you'll be shocked!

But have a great day, Tay.

Could you link some sources here.

Zarvan is perfectly right Adalbert! Of the original 4 partners, all rescinded the last 3-B tranche.
Of these, the UK and Italy are already receiving F-35 Lighting II. Germany has no future plans.

And of all the partners, only the UK has shown intent to make that nice machine evolve / keep up.
They financed and saw through to completion most new capacities as the upcoming AESA radar.

Sources would be too numerous over 30 years but check here from 2 years ago for an example :
http://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052702303636404579393103247459842/
from when Deutschland officially dropped Tranche 3-B.

Tiger however might be a good choice for Pakistan; it did well in A-stan, let's hope it works!

Have a great day, Tay.

This is not for any debate or trolling but I want to know why you consider it having less range if both Rafale and Typhoon are carrying drop tanks. Also if Rafale and Typhoon both are carrying full three drop tanks, will Rafale carry more AAMs or bombs or vice-versa? your opinion?

Although I do not see much chances of getting a EF, too costly, higher chances of sanctions in case of war.

But looking at it, it has a higher payload than Rafale even if it carries three drop tanks. It can still carry 4 x BVR, 2 x WVR, and either 4 GBUs or if racks supported than twelve small diameter GBUs. And their is no different in range between Rafale and EF with drop tanks. And correct me if I am wrong, without drop tanks, with same payloads, EF has better range than Rafale?

Have a great day.
