I lived in the area.. most likely the vehicle was moving at from 10 to 20 km / per hour and got ambushed at the corner. with heavy machine gunfire and then fell in to the ditch ending in the river. it has happened before as well once on a passenger bus which resulted in many civilian casualties.

the zig zag track of roads is many times in range of short and medium weapons of both armies and mostly each side respects the truce and doesn't fire because there is always a chance of retaliation (something these call center drones sitting thousands of miles away don't understand) we can very easily do the same to their supplies as well
just want to point out that in the click from 0@40 onward where there is a fire coming out of the targeted post the sound of fire is from our MG A A3 controlled short bursts. I myself have done it during my time in Bhimber sector near Mirpur/ Mangla. this is fire is normally is a **** off call to the Indians by fellow posts in the area or in this case a likely fire on anyone escaping or coming to rescue of that Indian post.

Yes the dead bodies carried on stretcher were dressed in civilian clothes.
