Classical music thread

Too much awesomeness in one video. :smitten:

@Nilgiri @Jungibaaz

The guys from Voices of Music told me they'll be doing some videos with Yo-Yo Ma.

Thought these should be here.

Mozart is seriously underrepresented on this thread. I mean you have more from Shostakovich than the Viennese master. :o: And look at @Oscar, he likes Wagner. How very much like him. :P

.
It has been raining here and I have been alternating between Schumann and Chopin.

.
Bach's Concerto for Violin in E Major. Superb rendition. Besides Mozart works, these violin concertos by Bach are an excellent place to start for the untrained ear. The movements are wonderfully melodic and of short duration.

I've listened to all that you posted :P....many many times over and I will have much time to enjoy them still. But new good looking lasses, they flower only so often in comparison :P....and I need only a moment to appreciate.

Good music I need to spend way more time on.....good food somewhere in between the two :P
Of course you have. But tell me this, is it Grumiaux's technique or rather the Del Gesu that delights me this much? Why isn't he appreciated more?

I just expressed my thoughts on food, you won't be amused.

I always appreciate the technique the most myself when it comes to recordings. I find the full flavour of the instrument needs the actual resonating air to hit you in-situ and live.... to really judge on that aspect (but yes you can make distinctions even with good recordings etc...its just secondary imo in that case to technique which manifests more clearly in that medium).

As for food, its not crude....oh the joys of good food!

@scorpionx do you like classical music good sir?

Manna Dey is true legend. But I guess this thread is more for western classical.
