Cinemas Deserted As Audience Awaits Release Of Indian Films

LOL you Indians.

Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' enters the 100 crore club in just 4 days!

This is the one with 'Fawwad khan' in it. Guess your people didn't care as well. Its an obvious thing entertainment has nothing to do with politics. But you Indians get hell bent and take your frustration out on actors. Look what happened. The sane people don't care.

Hindu extremists want 50 million now..

LMAO at stupid Indian movies. Who wants to watch this crap which defies logic and the laws of nature? Monkeys jumping in trees and love songs every 10 minutes. LOL

The Indians don't have half the actors Pakistan has. No wonder they are importing our actors like there is no tomorrow. Too bad the extremist dot heads are burning with rage.

Seem Indian cinema boycott is proving to be huge loss to cinema owners of Pakistan.
New films will be released in late November and December and et is wrong on figure of 70% for Bollywood its was 70% for bollywood and hollywood sure they will have issues and business will be down temporarily we have 3 new movies for November and 2 for december

The cinema owners will have to re adjust to a new reality just like TV channel owners

The funny part is

"We did reruns of Pakistani films but not a single ticket was sold. Not one person came to watch those Pakistani films,” said the Nueplex official.
That was a silly move why wpuld people watch old movies?
Pakistani movie houses need to up their game and increase numbers and budgets to replace fill the market the demand for Pakistani movies is there we had a complete Pakistani movie scene this eid all three movies released this eid did good business

Seem Indian cinema boycott is proving to be huge loss to cinema owners of Pakistan.

In Pakistan, the number of cinemas is not more then 170. and minus the cinemas of KP. because they do not play Indian or hollywood movies from Day 1. they only play Pashto and Hindko movies.

So the effect is not that huge. 160 cinemas or no cinemas. doesn't matter. Haan agar tadaad 500+ hoti tab...

Doesn't matter. Hindi films should not release in Pakistan.

This year was the best year in history for Pakistani cinema this loss will be temporary they will bounce back

Pakistan is fighting a war with the enemy at various fronts and these cinema owners want to show their films...
really a shame.
Public is not like army who can change their barrel direction on orders from senior from yesterday's friend to today's enemy (like Taliban to TTP etc though TTP grew with time from effete-es to thugs)..
Molding public opinion needs time. they r not disciplined breed

How successful are Chinese movies in Pakistan cinemas?

Next year will be even better this year a Pakistani movie was no 9 in the UK for a while with big media houses making movies i think the future is bright for our movie industry
If Indian movies are not allowed again then what you are saying is not going to hold. To make a good movie you need a good budget and to recover lots of investment they need a lot of revenue. You get lots of revenue when you have lot of screens which wont be possible if the owners start making loss which is happening right now because of ban on Indian movies.

tl dr: Pakistani movies started doing good only because the ban on Indian movies was revoked. Banning Indian movies will kill that ecosystem again.

You think cinema houses will survive December with only 2 releases that month? And what if one or both of them are bad? Cinemas wont survive for more than a weekend and will stay empty the rest of the days.

The losses will result in them having limited screens for most of the year except for on holidays when there is huge demand
This year eid business was huge the three Pakistani movies released did good business
They actually had to take Indian and Hollywood movies off screen to suppliment huge demand for Actor in Law
I was there after 3 weeks on a weekday and still there was almost 60% occupancy if script and marketing is good films will earn and they can the cinema owners may have to adjust to low business for a few months because of this ban which is self imposed cuz unlike TV ban no order has been issued by the govt on issue of Indian movies

3 from november (25november for Lahore sey Agey i forgot release date for the other movie)2 from december i think they would be enough to provide relief to then after low business in Muharam

On a rough estimate Pakistani cinemas need two movies a month to survive we were not making two a month but now after the ban we are going ti go with a steady 2-3 a month rate and after AIL and Janaan success they will focus more on script instead of fancy foreign locations that were used just to make it look bigger than it is

That is just bad business when you can not predict and provide for demand. BTW 170 cinemas are not really enough for a country with population touching almost 200 million. You guys need more cinema screens and chains and for the content you guys need us :D Like I said trade is always good even if of arts.
