Christmas train to spread tolerance in Pakistan

.
We in England frankly do not receive anything like this type of news/features. Our UK BBC is quite biased. Thankfully I can gain lots of information on this site.

I'm a white, English Christian (ex army - hence the military connection) and as such I admire the balance of the comments on this site. You are not Muslim extremists that are the ogres of every city west of Moscow. I have actually seen much more tolerance on this site than some British military sites. Keep on doing what you do guys. It is appreciated.

Oh, I do not celebrate Eid but I do make an effort. I make a mean baklava for my Muslim friends on that day.Not a big thing admittedly. Its a recognition that it is important for my Muslim friends. It is hugely important that we understand each other and what the differences are.

DAWN.COM — UPDATED about 10 hours ago
Minister for Railways Khuwaja Saad Rafique on Thursday inaugurated a special purpose 'Xmas Peace Train' ahead of Christmas festivities in the country.

The minister, while addressing the inauguration ceremony, hailed the role of minority groups, especially Christians, in the development and prosperity of Pakistan.

"The white colour of our national flag denotes minority groups, and it is incomplete without them," he said, adding that this train would serve as a symbol of unity, tranquility and harmony wherever it would go.

Christians & other minorities are citizens of Pakistan and nothing wrong in making their festivals & celebrations more memorable and joyful.... a very good initiative....

.
With all due respect let the Christian celebrate their celebration on their own expense not on government expense were the ruling party is doing its for their benefit by putting their leader photo.

well going by your logic, than we must also stop all Eid Trains as well.....
Come on bro we need to rise above all this, they are citizens of Pakistan jus like rest and running one extra train during X-Mass wont bankrupt the state...

Why NS's picture on train? Is he Santa Claus?

Anyway, Good gesture for minority but govt. should do something to improve the lives and bring the minorities into main stream.

This white strip on the flag represents the role of religious minorities in the nation. It's important to recognize them. I wonder how many Pakistanis actually know this.

Why so hurt??
Sadly today's Pakistan is not Mr Jinnahs Pakistan.
@war&peace Christians are as much part of Pakistan as Muslims, they are not western agents or anything. Please change your narrow view and embrace the broad minded vision on Mr Jinnah.:pakistan:

Bullshit ..

yet you feel proud if a non Muslim say or does anything Islamic, you happily share videos and pictures of a white woman wearing Pakistani green and chanting Pakistan Zindabad or White man wearing Shalwar Kameez saying Eid Mubarak to others.
