Chinese officials linked to phone maker Vivo fled India: Sources
The accused Zhenshenou and Zhang Jie allegedly misrepresented their identity on documents, the sources said.

Two directors of a firm connected to Chinese phone maker Vivo are suspected to have fled India, sources have told India Today TV. Both are Chinese nationals, they said.

The accused Zhenshenou and Zhang Jie - two of the three directors of Grand Prospects International Communications Private Limited, allegedly misrepresented their identity on documents, they added.

This comes a day after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided multiple locations across the country linked directly and indirectly to Vivo and its related companies. Over 30 locations were searched. The agency, during searches, found the top officials of the firms to be missing.

Earlier, the financial probe agency had seized the assets of another Chinese smartphone giant, Xiaomi, under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). The agency seized Rs 5,551.27 crore of Xiaomi India under the provisions of the Act. Xiaomi India is a wholly owned subsidiary of the China-based Xiaomi group.

The ED had initiated an investigation in connection with the illegal remittances made by Xiaomi in February this year.

Chinese mobile phone companies have been under the scanner of Income Tax and the ED. According to the probe agency, Xiaomi started its operations in India in 2014 and began remitting the money from 2015

This is another of a long list of wake-up calls for Chinese companies not to throw money into India. The same can be said about the US. These Chinese CEOs are nut case to begin with. If they don't like the Chinese market and being Chinese nationals, they should forfeit their citizenship and their ownership/control of Chinese companies and go whereever they think they deserve to be residents of.

. .
They say they have a market share of 15-20% in India and yet their tax revenue is too low. They are sending money out of company account through illegal means. India has been a great market for them. I don't understand why would they try to cheat the GoI for a few millions of dollars. Perhaps it's their businessmen's reputed for fleecing.
Their best way to go forward is to have an Indian investor having 50% share in their Indian company.

Nonsense.......so if Chinese companies are engage in malpractices they shouldn't be targeted by authorities because of investments? Lol
Even in China , there are chinese tech companies who have been cracked down upon by Xi Jinping/CCP for malpractices . So according to you Xi's government should have led them have their way regardless right? Lol
What makes you think that other Chinese companies cant also engage in such pracgices abroad ?
If they are clean and operate normally following countries law then I don't think they will face such issues and crackdown. Even if they did, then their innocence will be easily proven..

Did you just crawl out from the rocks? Since the confrontations on the borders, Indian authority has come out of a series of 'national security' (borrowed from your master Uncle Sam) excuse to prohibit Chinese software, games, and different products. Many of these products have investments in India but yet they were still targeted. Many Indian merchants and brokers have to go underground to purchase Chinese products to keep the supply chain alive. If these are not politically motivated, I don't know what is. Indians know these are politically motivated, but not you. That says a lot about your mentality.

Why ? India is a huge market & ordinary indians absolutely love made in China products.
Just make sure tax $$ dont flow to the terrorist central govt in delhi.
It's not like delhi dare to arrest them for tax evasion.
At most just send home & replace a few employees, if delhi accuse them of any 'crime', like in this case.

Pay your due taxes, and things will be sorted.
lol why ?, let delhi use the tax $$ to oppress indians even more ?

India did proposed them to move their servers to India to continue their operations in India. They failed to do that, and thus was forced to cease operations.

Then why worry about doing business in India, they should simply shut up and **** off then.

Well, this is in fact good news for China that India will never control the supply chain of the world like China has right now.

China started off by working with blood and sweat in order to gain its footprint on the supply chain of the world.

Right now, India hasn't done anything yet already starting with these sh1tshows.

This demonstrates that a country like India can never truly learn anything.

Another few GDP minus from this year India growth due to lack of foreign investment.
India is actively trying to cull investment from China. :pop:
Very good. Love it. Let India rot themselves. EU, Japan and America now cant even save themselves. Nobody has money but Chinese. Only China can invest huge money. We will go Indonesia, Africa and other area..
